On another note, we started tlaking about Shogun 27 last week. Does anyone have any dates in mind for those in the NY/NJ area?

Almost any works for me. The Box plus sushi/hibachi is pretty hard to pass up.

I can do the 5/30 weekend as of right now for the Shogun dinner (that is what we're talking about there, right??).

Shall we plan on May 30th? We'll figure out how to get NYC people down to it. In a pinch Suburban Transit Route 100 has hourly service from the PA and I think Shogun has a bus stop.

Shogun27 Box party - those poor people working ;)

Almost all airlines have offered travel waivers except of course CO for the DEN storm. Sigh. Still hoping my flight gets cancelled or CO changes and follows suit. I'm getting CO updates over and over and over for the flight I'm not taking

I could probably do 5/8 weekend. What exact dates are you looking at?

Leave on Friday the 5/8 and fly back on Monday 5/11.

Sounds good to me. I'll block 5/30 off and start a new thread if this works for everyone.

I might be able to make it on 5/30. I have some tentative travel plans for that weekend, but it is possible that they will fall through.

I just booked those flights, EWR-GRU-GIG down and GIG-GRU-IAH-EWR on the return. It was saying only one seat left and I wanted to see if that was really the case. I'm still not 100% certain that I can do it and I need to nail that down, but I've got 24 hours now to do so, I suppose.

I can't do 5/1; 5/8 might work, as might 5/15. I would have to go on Friday and return no later than Monday. I have done GIG in 2.5 days before, and it is enough time to take a tour of the main tourist attractions and eat some good food.

If everything goes as planned - we will be in LAS that weekend.

@ smb12 - I would come to NYC for some drinks but I have to attend a bbq tonight.
May 30 may work for Shogun for me.

Couldn't agree more with you. That's why we live here and I fly to wherever I have to work. The lack of appreciation is real, but so is the lack of depreciation :) Things are pretty stable in my neighborhood.

I'll see what I can set up in mid- late-summer.

Yes, all the nice neighborhoods have not really depreciated. The house accross the street from my parents' home just sold within four weeks of listing at asking price.

Missed that post. I wish I could say yes but it would take me forever to get in tonight.

I have one on hold for 5/8-5/11 (on your flights on the way down) and 5/15-5/18 (to EWR via IAH on the way down and GIG-GRU-EWR on the return).

I have the same limitations. What I found was the earliest return was Monday night getting in Tuesday. I can make that work.

I just went to grab some for 5/8 and the flights just went through the roof except for the EWR-GRU flight.

I just grabbed one for 5/15-5/18. I'll work on 5/8-5/11.

So, when everyone knows, let the others know.

5/15 probably is better for me than 5/8.

That's what I'm booked on, I think. I've got CO31/CO92/CO90/CO52.

If that works better for both of you then do it; I'm only 50% (at best) for 5/8 anyways.
