Very cool. I still haven't been at IAH at the right time to see it.

Shogun 27.....this is in NJ? I may be able to make it up there then but I'd need to bum a ride from EWR :D

If I am in town, I'll be driving down from the City and to pick up someone at a terminal at EWR would be no problem at all. It is no more than a five minute detour from one of my favored routes to that part of NJ.

:td::td::td: to DL for pulling nearly all NW mainline metal off ATL-NW hub routes. Sure, MSP has the 333 now, but I'm also stuck flying a DL MD-88 in Y to DTW in a few weeks now. That was much more fun when it could be done in F on a NW Airbus or DC-9.

I'll be brave and say we can pre-game at my place before Shogun.

In theory you get from EWR to Shogun w/o a car. Airtrain to train station. Train to New Brunswick, bus to Shogun. I noticed someone ran into the bus shelter next to the Shogun.

IMO, there is absolutely nothing wrong with flying on one of those Mad Dogs. The exit row aisle seats (25D and 26C) are among the most comfortable coach seats that you can find and the two side from 24 back to about 30 cannot be beat if flying as a couple. I will grant you that the FC is not as good as on the Airbusses but if you avoid the last row and bulkhead 1CD (which I call the toilet seats), the front is certainly as acceptable as on a NW DC9. And anytime that I can get a 330 instead of a 767-300, it is a deal.

DL pulled the 333 off my AMS flight in July, killing my effort to get that plane and one last WBC experience. I'm now trying to make up fot it with a YUL or YYZ routing on a MD.

I just had another run in with the local Best Buy. Good times. At least this time they listened to me and I got an incident report. Still have not decided if I want to press assault charges against the guy who pushed me back into the doo jamb and prevented me from leaving.

I would not take you for looking like a suspicious character. Are you carrying that sort of big tote of the kind which is favored by the shoplifters?

I don't mind the MD-80 that much. But if it's NW metal, I sit in F. If it's DL, I sit in Y, and have to jump through major hoops to get an exit row seat in advance. And on the MD-80, the exit row is a mixed blessing. Granted it's probably DL's most comfortable exit row seat. But it also comes with the price of having to listen to the deafening high-pitched hum of the auxiliary hydraulic pump during taxi, takeoff, and landing. And if you get stuck with a ground delay on that plane, it's really awful. I spent over 90 minutes listening to that noise on a ground delay in PHL a few weeks ago. Sure, I had tons of legroom and a wider than normal Y seat, but I also had a headache from that awful noise by the time we took off and that pump could be shut down.

I was carrying the box I had just purchased without a bag of any sort. It was the same guy who stopped me last time and he remembered me after he started yelling.

Of course, I remembered the undercover cop who works there and when I called him on it he was a bit surprised.

Good times.

My XBOX died. The only reason I really care is that it doubles as my DVD player.

Yes and file a small claims court suit against them. As you are self-employed you can sue them for lost wages.

Note...stores are allowed to detain people they reasonably believe are shoplifters.

ATL has an A33X I just don't know where it goes.
