I am kind of balking at the price right now, also. For some reason, I thought it was in the $500's all-in from EWR, when in reality it is $600 from EWR and $700 from DC (a wash for me, since I would have to spend at least $100 in train/airfare/Amtrak points to get up to EWR for the flights, in any event).

Doesn't every consulting practice involve drinking? Either you do it for fun, or your clients drive you to it. One way or another, we all drink.

How about 4/25??

That's the Freddies Weekend and I know a few are there and/or MRing.

Anyone not heading to see Steve GadFly play drums interested in grabbing a beer in NYC tonight? I've just officially been abandoned for the night so I'm on my own.

Had a nice surprise on my IAH-ATL flight — glcarter was booked on the same flight as me, but across the aisle in 1B (I was in 1F). 1E's wife was in 1A, so after a trade, glcarter and I ended up next to each other. Great flight, with an outstanding flight attendant working up front, and great catching up with him. Always nice to see a familiar face on my regular commute between ATL and Texas/Louisiana.

For me, yes it does.

I don't know if I can do it that weekend yet. I have a general interest in going to GIG next month, though.

Well, prices just dropped again. I got a FC alert and went and checked. 5/15-5/18 is down to $512 from EWR. 25,724EQMs after DEQM, that's amazing.

My last company had a bunch of tea drinkers, well that may have been too strong for them. Except for my office and one other. Hmmm, maybe that's why those two offices were closed earlier this year.

glcarter rules. Wish he hung out in The Box.

I would be willing to make it into the city if I wasn't on the verge of passing out. There will be lots of sleeping tonight.

Couldn't agree more with you. That's why we live here and I fly to wherever I have to work. The lack of appreciation is real, but so is the lack of depreciation :) Things are pretty stable in my neighborhood.

I'll see what I can set up in mid- late-summer.

I can do the weekends of 5/1, 5/8 and 5/15. So if any of them work for you, i'm game.

I can do the 5/30 weekend as of right now for the Shogun dinner (that is what we're talking about there, right??).

I could probably do 5/8 weekend. What exact dates are you looking at?

That is so true.

So let me rephrase my question: "Is drinking covered under the expense policy?"

;)
