UGH! Have fun! I wish I could be there. My boss at work just moved back from California so we seem to talk about Napa at least once a week. I will say that we are talking about doing a day run to a baseball game in California or ATL. I am going for the flights him for the game! We have to have our priorities!

Sounds like fun - enjoy! I could go for a day in Napa...

Napa is so beautiful - I always try to drink in the scenery before I "sample" the nectar of the gods and forget to look as I am driving with one eye open on the way home.

Have fun!

For 5/15-5/18, I am getting $694 all-in from DCA. What are you seeing?

EWR-IAH-GRU-GIG-GRU-IAH-EWR $602 on 5/15-5/18.

You can also take the EWR-GRU-EWR flights instead, but it gets you less miles.

Good morning box :eek::):;):-::o

Hey now, it should make you feel like you're flying CO around 3-4 years ago when Reba was always on.

Next up on baglady's TV:
  • The King of Queens
  • Clips from a few music videos
  • A recycled Jennie Moos story or two from CNN

Try the same query on UA.com :rolleyes:

I use ITA for all initial searches, then do a "Search by Schedule" on the airline's website. Removes almost all of the kludge-ish factor.

I can usually find the flights I want on UA's site. I had done my research on other sites; that's how I knew the flights I wanted existed at the fare I wanted. It was getting them to show up on DL's crappy website so I could buy them that was the problem.

I have been working with my Aunt to get her to Gold during DEQMs and she is not being too successful. She has asked several friends about taking a weekend trip to CDG from IAH and has gotten either no return call or a HUH???

I would loike to take the flight over with her but I dont have the money. UGH! I even tried the angle that she would get $5 for booking my ticket and she didnt go for that! A shocker I know.

Well I better get up and cleaned up, I am suppose to be headed to the city within the hour. Yes, it is a big city, TUL has 100,000s of people! YEA!

Well, "work" is relative when done in this type of environment. ;)

I was able to book a BF (SP) reward tkt for late June/early July EWR-GRU. Now I just have to book the BR domestic leg. Anyone have any hints about getting discount fares on GOL (GRU-AJU)? Any help appreciated -- TIA!

I did steak for dinner Tuesday, lunch Wednesday, and dinner Wednesday - opened a pack that was 2.11 pounds and forgot that I was traveling.

A big  to quasi government agencies. How am I supposed to remember what my starting and ending salary was at every job I've had. I know my very first starting salary and what my starting and ending was at the last job but there's a 14 year gap in there I have no clue.

I have a salary history file now - I knew everything offhand except my last government job (everything had been a nice round number until then) ...

Wow. Didn't realize those were back on the HOU-DFW runs. I still have never flown the ATR-72. Might have to make a HOU-DFW trip on one sometime when I'm back in Houston just for the heck of it.

Yeah, my IAH-ATL flight today is already delayed and it's looking like it may get worse. Oh well. I'm camped out in the E PC and quite happy now that I've had some breakfast and coffee.

With respect to Gol, you just have to book far enough in advance before the lower fare buckets sell out. It used to be that you could only book with a South American-based credit card or via a travel agency; not sure whether that is still the case. I booked my Gol tickets through Amex. TAM is bookable through Expedia. I would look at TAM too because the fares often are the same.

If I am a Gold and do not split the PNR, my chances for an upgrade 3 days out or at any EUA run are low. However, if I do check-in 2 hours before the flight, I can add my companion to the list.

I guess the question becomes, do I want to ensure an upgrade for at least one person or risk not getting an upgrade at all?

CO needs to do one of two things to solve this:
  1. Do what NW has done for years and allow EUA to run on a reservation for a Platinum or Gold when there are multiple people on the same PNR.
  2. If they can't do that, create a mechanism for us to enter a PNR for another passenger as a companion. EUA then runs on the elite at the normal window, and when the check-in window opens, the companion is automatically added to the airport upgrade standby list when the companion checks in for the flight.

Do one of those two things, CO, and the problem is solved. Can't be that hard.
