Sunny day + public park + free wifi = :D ^ :D

I'm sitting outside in the middle of the meatpacking district, enjoying the sun, warmth, scenery and free wifi from the Apple store. Hard to believe that this can qualify for work some days (yes, I am actually working out here).

I would say six hours for it to be worthwhile.

Thanks. That's in line with what I was thinking, too. Now to find seats on those flights. I've found a few with single seats in J on scattered routes but nothing with two. Yet.

You should budget 45 minutes for the train from the airport to Centraal, including walking to from immigration to the station and purchasing a ticket. It is a 15-20 minute tram ride from Centraal up to the Leidseplein and Musemsplein.

I would recommend taking the bus directly from Schiphol to the Leidseplein - it is less expensive (4.80 euro) and takes less time (about 35 minutes, IIRC) than taking the train to Centraal and making your way up to the Leidseplein and Museumsplein via the tram or walking (which you really will not have time for if you want to go to one of the museums). We took the bus from the Leidseplein to Schiphol on Monday and it was far more convenient than taking the tram to Centraal and taking the train to the airport. I will try to find the timetable online.

Wow! I just completed a long on-line job application. I even had to put in high school info. I was running back and forth to get info to make sure I hit a button before it would time out. I now have folders all over the floor, boxes on my dining room table. As much work as it was, I almost off of the info and the job seems right. Now I get lumped in with the 1,000 or so other engineers trying to get that nice job but at least I'm one of the first to apply. Fingers crossed.

The L fares to GIG seem to have increased a bit.

For when? I'm seeing the same fares on 5/15-5/18 as I've been seeing for a few weeks.

I'm on my way to spend the day in Napa Valley. The weather is beautiful, it will be warm and the people I'm going with are fun.

Does anyone have Scott's email address? I received a response from we-care re my denial of companion upgrade, and I want to copy him on my response to their response!! Which was a typical form letter response offering no resolution whatsoever!!

For 5/15-5/18, I am getting $694 all-in from DCA. What are you seeing?

LOL! Priceless.

Hmm, perhaps some FT on the back porch watching the waterfall in the pond will come in handy today! Have fun working!
