Update. Marshmallows might have been a poor snack choice. I just had to take scissors to cut one out of her hair.

Yikes

Oh, and for the record: I feel 10,000 times better than I do this morning. I witnessed someone that got picked over me for a job be totally unprepared, show up 2 hours late, and have inferior product knowledge to mine. If schadenfreude is all I can get, I'll take it.

That is a "story" better suited for digg.com and the web. It seems that the news stations feel a need to build in the internet, commenting, blogging, twittering into their shows at least once a night. They read comments of viewers and talk about "tweets". It's obnoxious and almost makes me embarrassed to say that I work in the web industry.

And I am sometimes embarrassed to say I work in "news.":o This past Sunday was different, covering real news - two Houston firefighters killed while fighting a house fire. Otherwise, the news is usually fluff.

But the staypuft marshmallow man is the safest thing I could think of.

Or just a dumb driver.

Drunk and tired, and finally have bread in me after a week. G'night all.

LOL, Rick Santelli for President :D

You'll need to mount all of the cameras on the ceiling for any of his press conferences since he's use to looking up at the ceiling to talk to them.

Oh yawn. I still feel like making a short.

EWR-HNL is $396 a/i on CO. Tempting...

Not as cheap as it was last spring, but beach destinations have been tempting me recently.

That sucks, man. I haven't had a single callback myself, so I'll probably wind up doing some contract work once I get to AUS.

The thing that gets me the most about the news is fearmongering. What they don't realize is their desperate attempt to get someone to watch is something that hurts other people's businesses. Case in point, my complaint the other day about sensationalizing Mexican violence. I've talked to people who refuse to set foot in the country for vacation when in reality the problems are at the border. The news is not interested in telling the truth of the matter or accurately telling the story. They are selling fear.

How's this for suck...I have applied to a nameless hotel company a sum total of 23 times in various positions and not received a single return call. All of what I've applied to has been filled, frozen, or rendered obsolete via the company walking away from a project.

I don't know but I hope they don't send them back until November :D

I always tell people that growing up a sports fan in CLE is a wonderful way to learn how to deal effectively with disappointment.
