That means SAN is on IFR and operations occur from runway 9 instead of 27. Taking off on 9 is a good time since they have a somewhat higher angle of attack on ascent.

I hate arriving on 9 as it generally means you're going way out to sea to come back in, unless of course you're coming from the north.

Runway 27 is nice as I can watch all the planes from the condo as they come-in. Makes it really handy when I have to pick someone up.

It looks like the ceilings at SAN may not be so low, according to flightaware the departure/arrivals paths look normal.

New line, new carrier? You know you'll love it!

Yes. But that doesn't mean I don't feel a little dirty.

Who else is flying PHL-IAH-SJC-IAH-PHL on May 2? I know at least one other FTer is along for the ride...

Good morning, Box! Plus1 has had a morning - realized his Visa was expired so off to the China consulate for a rush one. Oops. Rookie mistake. ;)

Mine's a lightweight - after half of one of my cocktails, I usually hear "the alcohol's hitting me". Dementia? Wedding planning? Surely you joke.

I just bought a ticket on NK. I need a shower.

I will likely need one again after actually flying said trip, but I'll wait until Saturday night to pass that judgment.

The last time I flew them, the only thing that bothered me was the service. The unbundling thing bothers me, but what bothers me more is that no one will take them on in ACY. FL will not bring what this area wants, which is real competition. Having said that, I realize the lunacy of that statement because the market does exist to give NK a run for their money, but there's a catch: this area is famous for asking for something, getting it, and then ignoring it to the point that said thing packs up and leaves. Air service and hockey are the two notable examples.

And not in a good way.

Indeed - doesn't he keep expiration dates on a spreadsheet / in a PDA like all his other travel info?

If he runs into a problem, "I know a guy" (relative) who is a visa expediter. Not that even I can do anything about the "expediting" fee.

I'm told that wedding planning dementia is eclipsed only by pregnancy. Unfortunately, getting them drunk at that point is no longer an option.

Mix one part wedding planning dementia and one part control issues, stir well. Welcome to my world.

Don't worry. I'm sure she'll have you properly trained soon.

I have stopped peeing on the carpet, so I guess things are improving.

(Speaking of peeing on the carpet, does anyone else find that Stanley Steemer commercial with the dog scooting the floor to be drop-dead funny every time?)

I hate being sick. Though, I will say, I slept like a log for a good 12 hours last night.

On a different note, if anyone in the NY/NJ area is interested in a Mac Mini, Micro Center in Paterson has the last gen for $399. Only 3.5% sales tax since it's in a urban redev zone. I picked one up for the folks last night.
