Not dumb...he was a pretty good hotelier until he attempted Atlantic City. The Commission opinion that stripped the company of its license noted in several places that the company made no effort to understand the business/regulatory climate in NJ. What actually nailed them was a violation of the statute on how the casino's internal audit committee has to be strucutured, not the service issues or layoffs.

UA gets a worse rap on this forum than it deserves, in my opinion. What's ironic is that the majority of UA critics seem to be those who rarely or never fly them. My opinion of UA has continued to improve as I fly them more and more.

plus uno, I hope this weekend the flights will be not  and my opinion stays the same.

I hear that the PS F skykits give you a voucher good for a 5% stake in UAUA Common Stock.

Yes.

I kind of wish I also were a 1K, as well, but I just don't fly enough to do both CO Plat and UA 1K and I still want top tier in CO. BD Gold is a happy (and lucrative) medium.

To be fair about it, how much of that rise in your opinion is based on the actual product? I'm sure there are those people out there who tolerate the product because they get lots of Skykits or bumps and love to take advantage of their "give away the house" mentality. Not saying at all that you are one of those latter people, but I'm curious.

I have my fiancee saying "three rights make a left" at properly timed moments when driving. :D Judy died a few years ago, and upon hearing about it, Ant said some very nice stuff. He still despises his ex-wife, but he was very complimentary to Judy.

So the kit contains a piece of toilet paper?

Also, don't forget going forward that LH Sen is available for 33,333 BIS on Q-UPs, and lasts for two years.

I'm still undecided on what to do for a back-up plan. Am still leaning BA, though.

Yep. UA is what it is and as long as one's expectations are not out of this world they can be a very good airline. As long as you're not flying a 1K heavy route you'll very likely get an upgrade as a 1K.

I like the idea of getting SEN that way. At the 300% EQM/RDM crediting on Q-Up's and 100% (?) for Y flights, I might be willing to dump CO as my crediting program and be *G with the use of LH miles for reward tickets. You could conceivably fly a few Q-Up's a year, keep SEN, and have ~200K RDM to burn on rewards every year.

I was gonna suggest LH as well, and as far as BA goes:

No -- a discount coupon for toilet paper.
