Indeed - doesn't he keep expiration dates on a spreadsheet / in a PDA like all his other travel info?

If he runs into a problem, "I know a guy" (relative) who is a visa expediter. Not that even I can do anything about the "expediting" fee.

Apparently no. He'll have it at 2:45 today.

Not so fast, my friend.

Wow. EWR-SXM fares are around $330 a person and the Westin is only $149/night. Sounds like a fun weekend on the horizon.

I'll trade you. I walked out of class last night around 09:30pm, and it was still warm outside, with no signs of significant cooling. You could feel the warmth just radiating off the pavement. It's only going to get more  for the next six months.

I've always wanted to spend more than a day in SXM. Have been there on cruises several times, and have thoroughly enjoyed each trip. I get restless with long beach vacations, but could definitely see spending a 3 or 4-day weekend there. I hope I'm not climbing the walls after 5 days in Khao Lak. Haven't done an extended beach vacation like that in several years.

That second part is really the only reason I want to go there.
