I've been doing the split and add in the past and was told by a few GA's in EWR that I was stupid for doing that. I find OP to be insanely complex so was curious if I missed something.
If you are trying to guarantee 2 seats together then the split/companion approach is bad. But most folks seem to want at least one and hope for two. So you have to split. I agree that most GAs don't understand the workings of the system to really be able to comment like that, but it happens. |

I actually thought you were joking when you asked that last night as there were two active threads in the main forum and I thought you were mocking; I would have answered then otherwise.

Gotta love #13. ^^
I never understood the Russian fascination with counter-rotating turboprops and coaxial helicopters. Could it be that tail rotors were something that they could not manage to steal our designs for? And the TU-160 looks strikingly similar to a B-1B. |

The helicopter also becomes less prone to a tail rotor loss through ground fire, which could hit the boom and damage the shaft that power the tail rotor. |

I think that the GAs have no clue how the EUA system works. If there are plenty of F seats available just before the flight leaves, there is no need to split the record. That doesn't happen too often, though.

Yes, but you have to split the PNR's before the EUA run so the Plat can be eligible for EUA, so why would one be splitting PNR's at the airport in the first place?
