The HKG trip would be before that,

I was a big fan of EVA's Evergreen Deluxe Class product. Consider it similar to domestic first class on a trans pacific.

It used to be only $300 - $450 over coach. The last couple of times I had to go to Asia it had gone up a lot, but you might want to check it out.

Beware, their web site is craptastic.

The miles can post to CO except for the TPE-HKG legs.

You connect via West Coast (LAX, SEA or SFO) and usually one of those cities is on "sale" so be flexible with your connection.

Beware #2, my luggage got left in SEA 2/6 times. They blamed CO, CO blamed EVA. Plus1 had to shop where they don't grow them his size. :(

You can only earn miles on 3 fare classes from EVA. C, Y and K

Is that new? I always flew L and earned miles.

Wake up call

Just thinking about this week...

I had 5:45am flights, two days in a row, after arriving the night before midnight-ish, I am getting up at 5am tomorrow to take Baglady and Baglady Jr to the airport, I have the LAX - IAH red eye on Saturday after arriving LAX around midnight, then I have an RJ out of IAH on Saturday and another Sunday night so I can get up at my regular 6am go to work time.

Who was whining about a 6am wake up call?

And who saved you $700 so you could take those 5:45 a.m. flights? I am sure you'll thank me one day ;)

Trust me; BL JR nor I want to get up to take the flight early tomorrow (though BL JR only needs a few mins to get ready). I also have to take my mom bright and early on Mon for a flight

I am on a train now where it seems 80% of the passengers believe flying is near certain death.
I tell them my butt has been in an airline seat for more than 43,000 miles this year and they gawk at how stupid I am for getting on said death trap.

At the lounge yesterday in washington the news about the pilot dying broke and I heard two people say variations of 'THAT is why I don't fly'....welllllll do you think that an engineer on a train dying would be any safer.......think about it!!!

Update! Son was asleep in iJoy chair in TV room the whole time -- did not think to look there, & didn't hear him come in the house!!
He came to my room at 2am. to apologize for making me worry!^

Morning box!

Happy news from FL: Looking at one more place this morning, but unless it blows this one away, I found a nice apartment to move to down around Tampa. Now to get my stuff down here

And... I got upgraded to 1A on 1534 back to OH tonight. :D ^ Mebbe I should quit now and retire with a perfect record - (2/2) in my short Silver career.

Me. I'm still sweating out the booze from last night, I think. The good news is that work is incredibly quiet or I'd be in a world of hurt right now.

I'm right there with ya. Was experimenting in the hotel bar last night with homemade Dos XX micheladas. Talk about a bad case of crudo this morning.
