Change complete. For some reason, I am booked in to C (BusinessElite) on the NRT-DTW segment and she is booked in to D (World Business Class). Hopefully that doesn't cause any problems...

Now, a FM question - should I now enter "Delta Connection (Compass Airlines)" on a segment that I would normally list as "Northwest Connection (Compass Airlines)"? I feel like this is falsifying an additional carrier...

This is like if I had listed DL coming home from AMS just because the paint job had been redone. It's still the ticketed carrier until the NW code disappears.

He would already be flying through the shower-less NRT and SFO before MEM.

There are rather nice showers in NRT, though not in SFO.

I would say it depends on if it is truly a Delta Connection carrier by then or not. If it's still a NW carrier, then I would stick with the NW designation.

NWA.com lists it as Delta Connection, which is why I asked. I suppose it all depends on when the operating certificate switches? Although, Compass will always fly under their own certificate...

Hmmm, well, if it's listed as Delta Connection, then perhaps it is time to refer to it as Delta.

Though, I think I would wait until the NW code disappears as Compass is clearly a NW carrier.

Which is why regional flying should be annotated, IMO, like how I did it in the Couples FM. I do the name on the outside of the jet, followed in parentheses by the operating carrier, but I code it as the parent carrier. "Continental Express" (CHQ) shows on the page, but the flight is coded in Flightdata as CO.

I would tend to agree, but check out the Compass website and then tell me they are clearly a NW carrier. :)

You're not making this easy. :)

So, the Compass logo is still spawn from the NW logo. Does that help?

I guess it's officially Delta Connection.

I list my regional carriers in a similar fashion. Continental Express (ExpressJet)...Northwest Airlink (Pinnacle Airlines)...etc but all of the flight numbers are coded by their parent carrier.

:D That's my point, I'm not sure there is an easy answer.

I am going to continue to list them as "Northwest Airlink (Compass Airlines)" until the NW operating certificate is no longer in use.

Same for me. I list in FM whatever the GDS tells me to. It doesn't matter to me (primiarily) if I'm on XJet or CHQ...I list it as CO Express and give it the CO flight number.

Has been for at least most of a month ... As long as it gets me to where I'm going and I get mileage credit, I'll call it pretty much anything.

I guess all of my "aloha's" in the box were fortuitous. Canuck and I are booked to Hawaii.

I crunched some numbers earlier and based on the plethora of branded hotels, redeeming points and free weekend nights will be infinitely easier in Hawaii over Croatia. I'll table that trip for when CO is a member of the Star Alliance and we can actually fly to a destination I want to go to in Croatia on points.

I never thought I'd be saying this, but Hawaii was just about the cheapest nice trip we could take.

What kind of recourse do I have when a package does not arrive when it should on FedEx?

I bought a new computer last week and had 3-5 day delivery. It is now the 5th day and looks like it won't actually arrive until tomorrow or Saturday. Even if the 3-5 day is "business" days, it's still over. To add on top of that it looks like the computer sat in IND from 3am CST to about 15 minutes ago.

Apple looks to be the culprit though because the shipping drop-off date was a day later than what they said...
