I agree 100%. I never saw the mass appeal of the Jersey Shore. I'm assuming because it's the only beach area most NJ/PA have available to them (or at least closest?).

Yep that's the shore for you and that's why I hate it.

Well that and the medical waste that washes up on shore from time to time.

Some places have free access - ie. 'private' beaches. To get a nice place, you have to pay quite a bit for a rental. I haven't been down the shore much -- the traffic is awful on the weekends!

TSA here in ONT doing random bag checks for people waiting in gate areas.

ONT has some of the most worthless TSA people on the face of the earth. Those people are bored out of their mind and will do anything to keep themselves busy.

When I challenged them last time the response I got was "We do everything by regulation." And when I pointed out none of the airports did it, they said the others didn't follow regulation.

I now have the opportunity to go to HKG in the fall. It is not set in stone yet, but it is looking good.

Depending on when you go in the fall, UA may also be an option.

I personally wouldn't pay the $3200, that's quite the chunk of change.

I agree about the $3,200. That is really a last resort.

I would not mind a crazy routing as long as I can fly business. I guess I will call OP tomorrow and see what partner rewards they can come up with for the saverpass redemption.

The trip would be a few days after teh SkyTram exit. I am looking at Oct 28-Nov 4 right now.

I just laid down a really obscure verbal prank on Olton Hall. Sorry man; I thought you would pick up on it.

Be careful. On a C fare, you likely will earn 125% and not 150%.

You can still ticket Skyteam stuff and it will be honored. Likely there is some decent availability to Asia on NW and you may want to try to grab it while you can.

I would at least get a reward reservation in place and then consider my other options. The reward can always be canceled with no penalty as a Plat, so you have nothing to lose.

In other news, I'm quite impressed by the eye candy in MCI. Who would have thought.

Oh bugger...

Needing to be up at 6 tomorrow morn is bad. Foing it after an extra round of grappa on the house is just bad news.

G'night all.

Grappa is dangerous. Extra grappa is stone cold nuts. Vivid dreams to you, my friend. :D
