Just put the DND sign on the door. How about leaving the TV or radio on in thw room to maybe comfort the dog incase the dog barks, the tv would mask the barking. With our golden, when he was a puppy we would leave him at home in his crate with a blanket over the crate.

Two ways to go with it: use it in the rest of the forum repeatedly until people start getting annoyed, or we could always add it to the FAQ. :D

I like option 1.:D

No worries. It's taken care of.

Leave them alone unless you have something useful and related to the thread there to share. The comment was OT and taking that thread further OT does no one any good and will only further the view that the Box is an insular clique and not open to the FT community at large. It just isn't worth engaging that.

Ugggghhhh....

I just went to look at the iPhone SDK to try to develop a bit on that platform. It is only functional on the OS X platform. I'm not buying a new computer just to do the dev work.

You'd only be able to distribute it to jailbroken iphones unless apple accepted your app to their 'store'

It has a web browser, I'd focus on that to make it work.

Does iphone support flash now? if so you could possibly use some adobe tools as well. I have an ipod touch, but I don't keep up with every trend of apple.

I did consider such a thought process, but IMO I mitigated it at least somewhat by (truthfully) adding in "service with a smile". And at least as of late, I would say since Do IV, I think the Box's clique perception is on a nice downward trend...yes, we exclusively brunched on Sunday, but there were also successful Box recruiting efforts at the Do. I know I wasn't the only one who said "stop by The Box and say hi".

In any case, I agree that the perception is still there and probably shouldn't be, but large strides have been made.

I'm a Deadliest Catch fan, too!^

The solution is simple: Only process the upgrades at the gate at the time of departure. DL does this just fine. CO doesn't want the GAs to be processing transactions (for the SDC either) so I understand that but have the people swipe and tell them that they will only be charged if they clear. Heck, tell them to monitor their priority on the PDA site, too. But just selling the upgrades outright at the check-in window is foolish and our predictions of it not working well are coming to fruition.

That ain't happening. I suggested that and they want to take as few things as possible to the gate as the agents tend to be busy enough.

Sorry, sbm12 -- didn't mean to add to the OT, but I was feeling 'offended' that other FTers (like you) were being slandered for always being there to help others.^

If this weren't all in print, I'd have thought that someone was surely 'hard of hearing' over there!

It's not like we B:rolleyes:Xers only stay in the B:rolleyes:X & don't try to help other FTers out there!;)

Not true. There are ways to distribute apps internally within organizations.

Wouldn't you want the app distributed through the store anyway?

Also, apps can be developed on Windows. You just need OS X if you are doing anything with the GPS or accelerometer.

what organization would such app fall under 'travelers of the world'?
store doesn't approve all and time consuming.

Ideally it would be at the store sure wasn't saying otherwise, but to give it to some people to test or anything, can be a pain.

Does anyone happen to know if the presence of Flash on a website negatively impacts that site's ranking on Google?
