I frequently find that is the WORST thing to do. Most good wireless cards (ie. Intel, Cisco) have their own driver and supplicant package, and that setup will connect to implementations that Microsoft will not always connect to. This is especially common in the enterprise environment.
Just this week I'm working with both Cisco and Aruba controller-based wireless in a test lab, and the client side devices we are testing are either working great, or cratering severely. I have two Dell D630 laptops with Intel 4965s sitting right next to each other, the one using the Intel supplicant is connecting great, the one using MS WZC is failing regularly.
Side observation... if you have a Br:rolleyes:adc:rolleyes:m wireless chip in there... get it replaced.
