doh misunderstood. CDG-ZRH is AF regional.

Welcome to the Festering Pit. Enjoy your stay. It will be like this until October, at the very least.

I was somewhat prepared for this wx. Growing up in south Florida we had the  levels of humidity (Monitor, yes, away from the beach), but not the high temperatures like this. I hope my stay ends in 2011, when my wife's program finishes at Texas Children's Hospital.

I frequently find that is the WORST thing to do. Most good wireless cards (ie. Intel, Cisco) have their own driver and supplicant package, and that setup will connect to implementations that Microsoft will not always connect to. This is especially common in the enterprise environment.

Just this week I'm working with both Cisco and Aruba controller-based wireless in a test lab, and the client side devices we are testing are either working great, or cratering severely. I have two Dell D630 laptops with Intel 4965s sitting right next to each other, the one using the Intel supplicant is connecting great, the one using MS WZC is failing regularly.

Side observation... if you have a Br:rolleyes:adc:rolleyes:m wireless chip in there... get it replaced.

Unless Toshiba's built in WiFi sucks, that's not the right answer because I have a laptop upstairs that connects without issues regularly from exactly where I'm sitting.

Are you using a MAC address filter?

The driver I agree with. And if you have an enterprise security model (802.1x, EAP, LEAP, etc.) in place then the config utility from the vendor is a good thing. But for a basic home network my experience has been that it just gets in the way of putting in the WEP/WPA key and moving on with life.

I have not a clue. Company shipped it, I turned it on.

The router documentation is WEP. Neither my passphrase nor my key will let me on my own network.

Fortunately LEAP is going away soon too, many vulnerabilities in that authentication process now. Stuff I'm beating on right now are the security certificates necessary for doing EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, and EAP-GTC. Dealing with the certs and the CA server are a nightmare... and when the client device is a non-PC-type client (read: handheld scanner, medical equipment, etc.), getting that cert imported on the client device becomes even more interesting.

FWIW, I run PEAP-MSCHAPv2 on my access point at home. I even broadcast my ESSID... "Can'tTouchThis!". :D^

I'm still trying to figure out the laptop settings...worst case I'll log in to the router and see if it's on that end.

I know I may get some backlash from saying this, but  at CO for upgrading all Silvers at +24 hours and filling F. I wish they would leave a seat or two open until the gate to give Plats and Golds a chance to upgrade their companions.

Baglady's husband!

The  has hit the fan. EWR-DFW flight got diverted to OKC, we missed the MX DFW-MEX flight , which means no MEX-EZE.
They are starting to release flights to DFW.

Make your fiancee do mileage runs to get status :p Incedently ;) mine had a few trips during the DEQM period that requalified her for silver for next year.
