My uncle was in LAS one night, walking the floor at the Bellagio. Someone came up to him and asked if he would put on a tuxedo and stand around for a few hours for $50. He declined. He ended up passing on being an extra in Ocean's Eleven. Not long after that, he walked to the other side of the casino floor and ended up having a few minutes with Andy Garcia.

I was naughty again last week and had my camera on below 10,000 ft. For those of you who wonder what the view is like out the window behind the F/Y bulkhead this ones for you. This Video is a 738 take-off from EWR on 4L on a rainy morning even has little things like being able to see the piano keys go by as well as an ERJ waiting to cross the run way, the end of 29 as well as the backed up traffic on the Turnpike before comfortably climbing into the clouds.

I don't see the entertainment in it. The AM2 was better because we had enough starting capital to do things right away instead of waiting to build up some cash, but it is horribly unrealistic as a simulation of the way airlines actually work and has so many "nuances" that I can't be bothered.

By the end of this year I'm set to have 2 *A (UA/CO) and 1 OneWorld (AA) carrier under the J.Edward Loyalty Umbrella. I don't plan on flying Delta anytime soon (or ever) but still I think it would be useful to have a "generic" SkyTeam account for when I find myself on a member airline.

I don't trust DL and SkyMiles, the European carriers or the Asian ones (er, one) and so at the recommendation of a friend I've started to look into AM's offerings.

The reward chart is not half bad - and a hell of a lot better than DL - and ElitePlus can be had for a paltry 50,000 EQMs with seemingly all fares, except CO's, earning at least 100% credit.

Any Thoughts?
