I'm in, too. I might even be able to convince the wife to come along if I make it more than a 2 day trip, though I won't be able to get 3 countries in if I do that.

My problem w/ PRG is all the English I heard... the Queen's English. All the brits fly there on European LCCs for the cheap (but good) beer in PRG. My wife and I had a great time there in November 2004.^ We used PL for a hotel and got the Marriott at a great rate. This map will tell you what areas to see. The rest is.. blah... old communism buildings.

Nice castle, cool bridge & waterfront and a decent old Jewish quarter. And then plenty of good beer. It will be cold as sin in January but that's OK - we'll have plenty of good beer.

same here, not going to spend much extra to get it. If I can't live a couple hours in crampbox then I am too spoiled.

I can handle a few hours - it's the trip to ZRH in Y that concerns me.

No colder than BRU in January, for the most part.

As long as I get elite checkin, security lanes, priority seating and priority boarding, I can tolerate coach.

We all were able to select exit seats. We should be ok, but usually an overnight flight kills me. I will most likely need a small nap upon arrival to make sure I can handle going out later that night.

And a stack of drink certs or an ambian, depending on the length and timing of the flight. ;)

I'm in exit row 19 (stand by FA during boarding, as everyone would otherwise walk into me) over and 36 back. 19 over because I want to get my carry-on and clear ASAP.

DL TATL flights no longer charge for beer/wine, but I'll have some drink coupons for bourbon if other supplies are exhausted. And I'll be imbibing at the SkyClub / AF Lounge before each flight. Whoa - AF Lounge means I should bring my water bottle so I can pre-mix / bring "water" on board ... ;)

Do my eyes deceive me with all this talk? Welcome to the world of Silver Elite.

DL / UPS guy pulled his blog post of earlier today. Here are the first two responses to his amended post (apparently from Flyertalk members):

Hey UPS commercial dude,

Although I think the commercials are well done, this post about the airlines is not. I mean, crying children over a delayed flight? They're 7, what do they know about it? Also, if you had such important meetings at your destination, why didn't you just man up and rent a car and make the 10 hour drive and call it a day?

I agree, you come off as a total egotistical ......... in your post. I used to think your commercials were cool... now all I'll be able to think about is your whiny boo hoo airline post when I see them. I fly twice a week, have for the past 7 years... these things happen on every airline. Pretty soon you'll be boycotting them all. Write Delta a letter, they will compensate.

I have to agree with you, i'm starting to yawn an awful lot about domestic F. But, in this case, it is a transcon and for $250 seals a round trip upgrade, one of which is a red-eye where it will be much appreciated.

I'm not sure if i'm going to do it, but it is tempting.
