The 80k ended up being an error that they honored but I got the "you can't make any changes to this" speech. (I wasn't supposed to be able to ticket it with NW over water segs).

The true 80k reward requires KL on the over water segments.

If you have particular dates/routes you're looking for, i can search and send you the results.

Do the KL overwater rewards actually display as 80k in the search results, though?

It can be combined, though. My outbound IAH-AMS-FCO is KL, and the return AMS-IAH is CO. Came to 90K per reward (40K outbound, 50K return).

Honestly, I have no idea. I don't think i've ever seen KL on the over water segs displayed whenever I do a search.

The one truly good thing about Onepass, you can mix reward types.

Why is it that DL is always exponentially more expensive than any other carrier when I am trying to price fares to cities to which I really need to travel?

Because they make small children cry with MX delays.

With limited exceptions. The special Plat Availability rewards cannot be combined with partner rewards on the same side of an outbound or return. CO would not let me do SCL-PTY-IAH on my return a few weeks back, because CO couldn't combine the Standard Availability CM reward with CO Plat Availability on PTY-IAH.

I'm a PM because that's not true from BNA.

The blog post refers to grandparents and parents ("all of us") crying on the telephone as well.

Which only added to the  of his rant. Honestly, a frequent traveler crying over a MX delay?!

I flew a NW 319 that had been newly painted in DL livery yesterday. I also flew a DC-9-30, which may end up being my last ride on the type. There were three D93's, including the one I flew, at ORD yesterday afternoon, however.
