Doh! I have found your funny; it was just cleverly hidden in a time before my parents thought it might be cost effective to fly. Cest la .

My wife and I talked about it before we got married and mutually agreed that both of us are free to do what we want in that sort of thing, but we do like to talk to the other person simply for some FYI and in case there is an issue, but certainly not for permission.

Yeah, except I want to stab people in the face when someone tries to get me to do something via an application that was clearly made out of pure dumb.

Troo dat.

Facebook: it was inevitable.

Facebook has exploded in the last twelve months. Leaving MySpace, Orkut, and the rag tag group of other social networking sites in the dust, it has single handedly surmounted the world of telling everyone everything regardless of whether or not they actually wanted to know. Only Twitter is able to stave off the blitzkrieg of Facebook, and then only because stupid people haven't figured out how awful it is.

I joined Facebook a few months ago at the incessant urging of small people from Scandinavia. Upon further inspection, I acquiesced to the request because Facebook looked like MySpace without the dumb. It was friends connected to other friends and there was some writing of stuff back and forth. It had a pretty clean interface and, minus the AJAX fetish that seems to permeate the site, it works pretty well.

Oh my, how wrong I was.

You see, on Facebook lies the concept of applications. These applications are about as varied as they come, but they all share one defining feature: they are all completely stupid.

Share a round of drinks! Send a hug! Give a smile! Take a quiz! Become a fan of crab people! Most of this crap isn't even possible, much less a passing excuse for social interaction. Never in all my life have I been more thankful for the, "block this application" feature than I am with Facebook.

Sure, Facebook is a lot less intrusive than MySpace, and certainly looks less like a drunk monkey vomited all over my computer screen than MySpace, but it is still sheer crap.

In a clean package.

Hence the need for Blue Ray. Our show rocks!

I believe Plus1 owned his previous car about his driving life time, though he now has a newer version. We loved the time we had no car payments. Alas, we now have mine through our good friends Chase.

He refers to the area as the "sleep/shower/$hit room".

Ours has a real door (and yes, there is an exhaust fan in there - sigh). I hate going to hotels where the toilet area is not separate. I also like the shower separate. Little things add to big issues.

Yes, but she shouldn't have to ask his. We've been talking about this for at least a month. I'm ready to book tix and hotel and she's

Why $10 million or less? By the way, I'm not too pleased with what I've seen suggested so far. I'm sure that whatever they do it will end up costing me money. Considering how much we already spend on health care for the family, expressing my true feelings on the subject would be a TOS violation.

Yup -- and a massive time sink for those who get sucked in. JUST SAY NO!

On another note, my first order for dollar coins has moved to this status:

My favorite is still "The Earth To The Moon"

I wasn't "allowed" to have HBO (due to horrible content like Sex in the City) so I watched this series every month on UA^

Earlier tonight, I watched the episode of Mythbusters (Discovery) debunk people (e.g. one of my uncles) who insist man never landed on the moon. Now, I'm watching Cronkite's narration on History Channel.

We have a sweet cleaning lady who works for presidential coins who cleans all of our fans (exception the 20 foot fan in the great room - I don't even want to know what is on that, but Plus1 cleans it when he changes the light bulbs).

Glad to see your dollar coins are moving. Please let us know where these end up!

Me too. I figured I was too old (which, apparently, is not true), but mostly I don't want people I vaguely knew and didn't like in junior high to find me.

Flyer_70 Jul 20, 2009 9:31 pm

wow. I've IM'd with my asia team for about two hours and you people have gone through close to two pages in the Box. Wow! :D

Conspiracy theories will never die.

I had watched Apollo 13 so often at one point that I could do a credible Cronkite impersonation of his opening narration to the film.
