You would be proud:
I'm staying in the Swissotel. Palm Chicago is in the Swissotel. There is a "Palm" button on at least two of the three room phones. I walk by the Palm every time I enter / exit the hotel. I'm going to bill my meal to my Swissotel room. I make my reservation through OpenTable. ;)

I have a corollary - when a "bartender" (often an FA) says he/she doesn't know how to make a drink, offer to demonstrate. Otherwise, you end up with the crappy martini I had the Friday night of CO Do IV. Not that the drink was traumatic and etched in my mind or anything.

Back in the Shuttle days, UA also had SAN-LAX on 735s. I also vaguely remember CO announcing a HPN-EWR flight, though I don't think it ever actually started. |

Nothing beats running to the office restroom every fifteen minutes... because you have to ration your remaining vacation time, and don't want to risk a 40 minute bus ride home.

Congrats! What cities/airplane are you getting on them? That route is operated by a 77uu. |

Restaurants will sometimes no-show online reservations to avoid paying the fee that OT charges. Happened to me on a massive scale while at Tropicana. |

The restaurant didn't register that you showed up at the scheduled time. At Palm, I would say it's inadvertent; in other restaurants, I might lean to intentional. I think you can send a copy of the receipt to OpenTable and they'll give you the points and remove the "no show".

There's a way to protest no-shows on the website. I don't remember how to find it off the top of my head, but worst case call them: 1-800-OPENTABLE.

Love that flight!
LAWA bullied UA into cutting the number of props at LAX because they were using "prime" gate space. That and they were stupid enough to let El Segundo bully them into reducing the number of planes going in/out of there. There's a bright idea, let's take one of the busiest airports in the country and reduce capacity. LA is in a world of hurt on the horizon. The hope was to move flights to ONT and PMD, but none of the carriers are biting and I doubt they will. |

Nice! If enough people do that, maybe OT will do something about restaurants that are trying to screw OT out of fees.

I would hope that OpenTable has someone in revenue management and/or a software system to identify possible intentional anomalies. Someone has to call those restaurants on the carpet.
