Things are getting out of control. I fly home Thursday night - should be in my drive by midnight. Now I have a 7:30 am CLE-BOS flight on Friday morning. Luckily, I was able to snag the 1:55 pm BOS-CLE back home, all with B fares, but still...

Out. Of. Control.

I am also surprised that nearly 50% of my post are in the box. Guess I like this place.

I'm a DL/NW elite and over 25% of my posts are here (just hit 5,000 last night).

Of course there is a stAAtus match.

StAAtus: Delayed

Not a good way to start the day:

1. Our elevator is out in our office building so everyone was told to walk up the stairs. I work on the 30th floor.

2. I finally come up because my boss decides he's going to do it and once we get up here we find out the A/C is not on and its about 85 degrees in our office.

On a positive note, today is my last work day as an single man. :)

A post simply to interrupt J.Edward's run. :p

I like the stats, but I'd be curious to know the missing stat, which is what % of each members' posts are in the box. Mine is actually low (~12%) but I'm sure some are quite high. I think Plus1 posted outside the box once, just to see what it was like, but I'm not certain.

That would be cool to see -- but I'm not tracking that info down! :D:D

If we're talking about good leadership, last year Crosby and the Pens stayed on the ice for a moment after the handshake to salute the home fans. This year Lidstrom just high tailed it to the locker room. Lidstrom is at least diplomatic about it, though. Draper is the bad sport.

Where does Draper fit in?

The fact remains that he did not do his duty as a team captain, and those who follow it know that hockey takes its traditions very seriously. Those traditions are part of why hockey is the best sport for little kids to grow up watching. When the young face of the NHL breaks from those traditions, it says nothing good to those kids and young players. I don't care if the captain is busy celebrating; it is his job to marshal the rest of the team into the handshake line and to be the guy at the very front of it. There's a reason that the captain gets to hoist the Cup first - sure, rank has its privileges, but it also keeps his time free so as to lead the team in what needs to be done after the presentation of the Cup. And like it or not, Crybaby Crosby will be held to the highest standard possible. He should know that and act accordingly.

This city could easily support it. There's a perfect name out there for them.. the Houston Oilers.. oh wait, I think the Oilers name is taken.

The Festering Pit thing might have something to do with it. I don't want to think about the costs involved to the potential arena in keeping a sheet of ice in playable condition in May and June. There is minor league hockey, I think...the Houston Aeros, right?

Morning, Box.

A few a$shats decided it would be fun to play bumper cars on the TZB this morning. At least I had the sunroof open, windows down, and I was rockin' out to The Boss. Almost didn't mind spending 30 minutes suspended above the Hudson on a woefully outdated bridge that is liable to collapse at any given moment.

I just realized I forgot to put a belt on. How  of me.

Lache DO Saturday night?
