I should mention that I've never flown WN. My feelings of  have only been brought on by observing the things that a non-WN flyer can observe.

I have no intention of ever experiencing them first hand.

Not saying that you specifically are, but I think some of the gripes about WN are legitimate and some are nothing more than basic class warfare. Many legacy flyers bring a superior attitude toward WN (and their partisans) because there's no lounge, no F, no seat assignments, etc.

That reminds me I need to look into getting tickets to Citi Field to check that place out.

I'll be the first to admit that these are some of the (many) reasons why I will never fly WN. However, for me, it has nothing to do with class warfare and everything to do with personal comfort and my enjoyment of accessing lounges and sitting in F or an assigned seat in the back.

All fair criticisms. It's when I see the people who post things like "the terminal is great for WN paxwatching" that drives me nuts. People like that are the people for whom airline status extends mistakenly into their real life. If I fly them and find them to be as untenable as some people have made them out to be, fine. But I'm willing to give them a chance, so long as it's not a trip where thousands of miles would be at stake.

When in a competitieve market and the price is right WN and the lack of assigned seats is worth taking. It just isn't as bad as the rap it gets, IMO. There are morons on every plane and having an assigned seat I even in the F cabin - doesn't guarantee that you won't be sitting next to one of them anyways.

In many cases, how is this any different from calling an inexperienced traveler a "Kettle"? While some people will look down at another traveler just because they are flying WN, many will just get a kick out of watching a much less experienced traveler figure out the whole airport/travel experience. I'll let you decide which category I fall in to when I say:

"PBI is great for WN paxwatching."

:D

Way better than the new Yankee stadium. Also, don't try to get anything done between innings at Yankee stadium unless you want to spend a full inning in line. The staff is ridiculously slow.

And, whatever you do, avoid the "knish" at the kosher place by the 200 level. A full beer later and my taste buds still haven't recovered.

If you are serious about going to Citi and are looking to fill a second seat let me know; that is a park worth returning to.

Yeah, the Yankees losing doesn't make it better.

Looking at next week against STL. Sister coming along but more is more, and merrier, in my book. I'm trying to find a non-rain day next week.

In many cases it isn't. Some people use "Kettle" as a quasi-joke, and some people use it as a pejorative.

I'm all for watching the inexperienced travelers, and if I can get around them so they are not impeding my forward progress, so much the better. If I'm not intruding on a private conversation, I'll even help people out if they are willing to be helped. There are people who are unwilling to be helped and I get enjoyment out of watching them stink up the joint.

LOL! Bisster it is! My friends always fall about laughing when I say "Oh, bugger" (same way American's would say "oh, darn it" or something to that effect).

WN is full of them and that's what makes so many WN passengers seem  in my book. Yes I do help inexperience travels all the time and many ask me questions that I'm all to happy to answer.

Ugh - so true. The new Stadium was very disappointing for me. It's a nice, modern stadium but that's part of my problem with it. The nostalgia is gone and the only "history" that the place represents is the game they played the night before. The overpriced, in your face, commercial feel the place has doesn't help much either. :(

Against the worst team in baseball (and almost the worst in baseball history!)...
