Correct. Never been to the S. Hemisphere. Southern most point is Singapore.

Infidels! You haven't lived until you've seen water drain counter-clockwise. :D

Northern Hemi only for me too.

South Point on the Big Island in Hawaii I think for my furthest South.......unless Cabo beats it as lower.....

Thanks! Unfortunately, overnight it just got worse. I will never, ever, ever enter into a partnership with anyone again. Unfortunately, when I entered the partnership I had no idea that the individual would turn out to be the way she is. Life lesson learned. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get out of the partnership, and chalk it up to experience. Will lose a LOT of money in the process ($50-100k), but quite honestly, I just need that toxic woman out of my life.

Sorry to hear that things have progressed to a 'breaking' point. On the other hand, better to cut your losses, -- even if it costs, financially -- as that toxic, negative energy is just not a good thing & will break you down in other ways!! I think that women can really be nasty in that way -- w/hormones & all. Good luck w/it all!

I just noticed that rkkwan is also a hemispheriphobe. No S. Hemisphere lines on the FlightMemory. You and fozz should start a support group.

Add me to the list as well - at least until August... :)

I hope he gets well soon. Glad to hear the staff at the hospital were great and accomodating.

+1 -- hoping for a speedy recovery!

Either way, I'm not sure I would avoid Colgan. I have a friend that flew for them up until a few months ago and he was a great pilot (CO hired him directly).

I'm sure they have many great pilots, but I sorta need all of them to be great (or at least good) and all of them to be well trained and for them to be scheduled appropriately in terms of experience where new captains are with very experienced FOs and vice versa.

I've been there too. :p But I was born in Cleveland, less than two years after the Cuyahoga caught fire, so I shouldn't say too much about Detroit.

Thanks! I'm hoping it's all OK too, but what's got us worried is this has come up three times in the last six weeks, and has been progressively worse each time. Sure, it's possible he's caught a virus three times in that short period, but what are the odds? In any case, we'll both feel better after he sees the doctor on Thursday. Unfortunately in the ER it's more about stabilizing the symptoms that are being described, without necessarily running a full diagnosis. But I was glad we went to the ER, because he was dehydrating very quickly, and wasn't able to keep anything down. Rehydrating him via IV, and getting some other drugs in his system helped out quite a bit.

On the good side, there were no issues with the ER allowing me in with him. We were a little worried about that at first, but the staff at Emory was great. However, the whole experience just increased my feeling of how screwed up our overall healthcare system is. It's great we both have insurance, but I'm sure the bill for that night will be something ridiculous.

I had an episode like this where if I had citrus I would get terrible stomach pains, it turned out to be a 'temporary allergy' I have not had another episode in about 5 years now, but there for about 6 months it was disaster.
I would be fine and drink a glass of OJ, and just end up in severe gut wrenching pain, I went to a park in miami and they only had tropicana juices to drink, I got a mango kiwi or something like this that I thought would not be a problem, I was wrong and I walked out of the park about to fall over and managed to drive myself home to suffer it out.

i never found a cure, it just went away :(
