They're deaf and stupid.

I call those dogs yappy little sh*ts. I hate them.

Yes, though they will deflect some blame to the FAA for having approved the training curriculum that was apparently so flawed that it didn't include what would happen in case of a stall.

My guess is that there will be some sort of emergency training update for all their pilots (and any other Q4 operators if they are also affected) and that will be the end of it from the FAA. And Delta bears the cost for the insurance. Highly unlikely that they lose their CO contract because of it.

Just now catching up on FT for the first time since Friday. It's been a crazy few days, starting with getting home Friday afternoon. About an hour after I arrived, my partner shows up home from work two hours before I expected him. Turns out he's sick again with what at first appeared to be the same stomach virus he had a month ago while we were in New York. As the evening progressed on, he got progressively worse, and we ended up making a trip to the ER around 10:30 PM. We were there until 9:15 AM Saturday morning, with him getting a couple of hours of sleep after we ended up with a room in the ER where he had a bed, and me sitting in the world's most uncomfortable chair. By the time we got home I had managed about 30-45 minutes of sleep (mainly because my body was just shutting down at that point from exhaustion). I had been up nearly 30 hours when we arrived back home, and Thursday night I had less than five hours of sleep. Saturday was a wash, with us sleeping most of the day. We thought he was stable, but late Saturday night he got worse again, and we were both up half the night dealing with that. Fortunately by Sunday morning he seemed to be on the mend, and yesterday he went back to work a little late, after getting an appointment with his primary care physician for ASAP so we can find out what's really going on. Since he was feeling well enough to do a partial day at work yesterday, and was showing signs of keeping solid food down, we decided I could go ahead and make my work trip this week.

I fell prey to a particularly nasty stomach bug twice this year, all within about three weeks, and didn't get feeling 100% until nearly two weeks after the second bout. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.

I tell you, it is scary to read some of these reports. We place a lot of trust in the hands of these folks and it is troublesome to think they may not be properly prepared....

Anyone know a good mapping company? I need to buy rights to a couple maps and cannot get through to anyone. Very annoying.
