Just woke up from a nap. Father-in-law's surgery went well and he's resting in ICU now. We're getting ready to go enjoy some additional 103 degree PHX heat and head back over to the hospital for a visit. Thanks again to everyone for the kind thoughts and words.

Back to SAN tomorrow. Thank God, I really hate the desert. :rolleyes:

That's good that your F-I-L made it through surgery, I wish him a speedy recovery.

What lounge do you recommend me going to at AMS? I have a Crown Room membership but learned the hard way last week in SEA that I cant access the Alaska Boardroom unless I am on a DL ticket.:rolleyes: Do any of the lounges in AMS have these ridiculous rules?

I got my wife a Kindle 8 weeks ago when we were about to depart on a week's cruise. She use to fill a small suitcase with books (popular trash novels) and then discard them after finishing with them while on the trip. Since we only use carry-ons, this limited her clothing significantly! So I suggested a Kindle which would solve 2 problems, not enough reading material for a trip and not enough room in a carry-on suitcase for all her clothes. She loves the Kindle and carries it everywhere.So I get a big ^ for suggesting it.

The KLM Crown Lounge near piers F/G is pretty nice but it is in the non-Schengen area (not sure if that works with your destination). It has showers, food, good booze and sleeping rooms.

Sitting area
Eating area

You should be able to access the lounge with your DL membership or b being ST+.
