Not so much fun if you could care less about basketball and the Indians are doing their "Doormat of the American League" routine...

Not to mention that the Br:rolleyes:wns may be fighting it out with the Lions to be the worst team in pro football ...

I don't care much about basketball myself -- I'm a total fair-weather fan, and the last time I was really interested in baskeball was the late 1980s with Daugherty, Price, and Nance -- but LeBron is remarkable, and I'll take what I can get. I'm 40, followed sports since I can remember, and none of my teams have ever won a championship. Maybe this can be the year.

I was nice in correcting you, I thought. I could have been much meaner.

Your gentle correction was appreciated.

If you can, I would go slightly more upscale. Ruby’s and Spindrift are right on Front St in the middle of everything, so while convenient in the terms of location I think it could get quite noisy and busy in the area. I would also say they are not located in what I would consider to be the best area. I have not seen the inside of those two hotels, but judging from the outside of them both I would pass on them both. I am not sure what you would like to spend, but we stayed at Royal Caribbean Resort at the south end of the Island, next to Victoria House and loved it. We paid $125 a night which was slightly more that the $75-99 a night price range I was looking for, but it was well worth it. Coconuts Caribbean Resort also seemed to be in a quiet location between the Town Center and South end.

I would say that the most convenient area to stay in would be South or Town Center. The north end involves a toll bridge and an unpaved dusty desolate road, which seemed very unsafe depending on the time of day.

Since Royal Caribbean Resort was a little far from town we ended up renting a golf cart from Ultimate Golf Carts at Tarpon St & Middle St which offered a walk in discount. We paid $228 BZ ($114 US) for the remaining two days. The golf cart was very convenient, fun to drive and parking was never an issue either.

If you want, send me a pm with your address and I will mail you the few pamphlets and brochures that I had remaining in my bag so you can take a look through and get a feel of what there is to do.

Is it me or has the orange crop this year been exceptionally good? All the oranges I've been chowing down have been really sweet.

Back in the days of Nick's Coliseum, we would smuggle a 12 pack of beer past security in a diaper bag. Every other kind of bag would be searched and fans would get patted down... But that diaper bag must've brought up thoughts of cooties to the security clowns.:D

And I'm gonna be 55 this year still hoping for a world series championship...

Meant to say earlier that I finally got my CO Gold Elite card!

The local produce shop here in Ohio I frequent had some outstanding oranges until a couple of weeks ago...
Now they're pretty craptastic. Go figure.

I'm impatient. Time needs to move faster in the Airline Mogul world.

One thing I've concluded about that thread is that there must be some rule that everyone must take this photo when in Vegas.
