Very cool! ^
I know you have tons of your own (excellent) photos, but let me know if you'd ever like to use one of mine in the course of this gig.

I'll extend the same off too if I have anything you want to use.
Right now my target medium is the Kindle and other eBook readers so photos go B&W in a hurry. That limits a lot of things, even with the K2 and 16 shades of gray. I will hopefully soon be in the market for some additional writers, too. There is a very liberal profit sharing potential, though it assumes that anyone buys this crap. :p |

Actually FST, but there's no commercial air service there... so I drive the 100mi to MAF... or drive the 180mi to DRT... or drive the 250mi to ELP... you get the idea. :)

I'm wondering if there's an airport more dismal than GRU to be stuck in for a prolonged period without lounge access. At least when it has served out its useful life, they can convert it into a supermax prison with little effort.

Work has been a total waste today. Client unprepared, then we got done what they were supposed to have completed before today, and the payroll person never shows up to do what we need to do next. As a result I'm fully caught up on FT after a 3-4 day absence, and have been playing Airline Mogul. Easy day for me, but probably not the best use of this client's $$$ either.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I wouldn't mind being stuck in SCL for days. ^^^ to that airport.

No kidding.
The place where the lack of free Wi-Fi really gets to me is in hotels. If I'm paying a few hundred to stay there each night why should I have to pay another $10-$20 a day (sometimes more) for Internet access?

^^^^ to that airport.
Good afternoon/evening, Box. Keukenhof and the North Sea beaches tomorrow, along with a more in-depth tour of Den Haag. Then fly home. I'm putting the flight over in The Box FM right now. |

Has anyone seen enmascarado recently? He's been inactive in AM for the longest time.

I quickly fell in love with AMS. Not a lot of sinking required to see why it wins the awards that it does.
Personally, I'm not sure I was a big fan of AMS. We came across many narrow areas that seemed to slow foot traffic and the lack of moving walkways seemed to further slow the process of transiting the airport. The regional aircraft area was annoying and the bus ride to the main terminal seemed to go on forever. On the plus side, the architecture was nice (in most areas), the options for shopping and eating looked very good (although, I did not partake in either) and the newer KL lounge was quite nice. I'd have to spend more time there to formulate a complete opinion of it, but I'm just curious to hear what, specifically, you liked. |

Just now catching up on FT for the first time since Friday. It's been a crazy few days, starting with getting home Friday afternoon. About an hour after I arrived, my partner shows up home from work two hours before I expected him. Turns out he's sick again with what at first appeared to be the same stomach virus he had a month ago while we were in New York. As the evening progressed on, he got progressively worse, and we ended up making a trip to the ER around 10:30 PM. We were there until 9:15 AM Saturday morning, with him getting a couple of hours of sleep after we ended up with a room in the ER where he had a bed, and me sitting in the world's most uncomfortable chair. By the time we got home I had managed about 30-45 minutes of sleep (mainly because my body was just shutting down at that point from exhaustion). I had been up nearly 30 hours when we arrived back home, and Thursday night I had less than five hours of sleep. Saturday was a wash, with us sleeping most of the day. We thought he was stable, but late Saturday night he got worse again, and we were both up half the night dealing with that. Fortunately by Sunday morning he seemed to be on the mend, and yesterday he went back to work a little late, after getting an appointment with his primary care physician for ASAP so we can find out what's really going on. Since he was feeling well enough to do a partial day at work yesterday, and was showing signs of keeping solid food down, we decided I could go ahead and make my work trip this week.

Just found a decent source for affordable maps - stockmaps.com. They've got city-center details for ~$50 royalty free. That seems to be within my budget. And I just registered to have my own block of ISBN numbers. That is a racket if ever I've seen one. The good news is that I'm now inching closer to a travel publishing career. The bad news is that the costs mean no HNL turn first week of June. But I'll get over that.
