I hadn't booked hotel or car yet for my MR to KOA next week. I'm calling it a MR as that's the intent, although I'm going to the volcano as well. The trip is solely happening because it's 30,000+ EQMs for $600 with me sitting in F. Look at hotels - prices had gone up. Dang. Look at cars - prices had gone way up. Double dang.

Went to Expedia and try "hotel and car" packages. Get many hotel and car packages combined cheaper than I would spend on the hotel otherwise, which is promising. Very promising. Look at different room types and condos with bedrooms are on sale while studios are not. Sweet. Look at different rental cars because there's no way I'm driving a subcompact from Dollar, and there's no surcharge for larger vehicles! This particular hotel package screams "we need customers, stat" and I'm willing to oblige.

Linked to Expedia through Upromise, which means 1% back from Upromise, 1 TYP per dollar, and normal credit card mileage. Saved over 40% and got a far larger room (with parking and WiFi included) by waiting until the week before.

I'm pulling my custom-made backpack from my trip to Saudi Arabia out for this trip. It's the only thing I have that isn't a rollaboard but is carry-size that can hold a camera bag, a laptop, toiletries, and an emergency set of clothes in case my checked bag decides that it doesn't wanna join me.

I am still hungover from last night.

I actually drank tequila last night. It was as gross as the last time I had it.

Oh, and more drinking and eating planned for this evening, though not to last night's levels.

Although I'll probably have more bourbon tonight, I don't need a "plan" to undertake said activity. ;)

Photo of a BUF-Africa removal (deportation) flight preparing to leave BUF. Looks to me like a CO 757-200. Sorry for the semi-grainy appearance of the scan. Looks like a "C" on a white background printed just to the right of a CO 752. In the original, I can make out "639" on the landing gear flap, just after the "ETOPS \" designation. I couldn't find any CO 752 with an N number ending in 639.

Perhaps it's a 737, but I didn't want to scroll through all the N-numbers... :rolleyes:
