So my dad just had the brilliant idea that I should come up to BOS for the weekend, so that we could at least have 4/5 of the family for Mother's Day.
This would have been a great time for one of those "weekend getaway" 15K miles+$36 deals...unfortunately, this weekend I can go from EWR to all sorts of far-flung places like YYZ, DAY, GSP, etc. - but not a simple 201 miles up the road. And honestly, at this point, the travel time would probably be quite close to equal... drive to Princeton Junction/train to EWR/waiting at the airport/1.5 hr flight/subway from BOS to Cambridge=easily 4 hours, and it's about a 4.5 hour drive if you avoid bad rush hour times. NOT worth the $191, in my book. There's also the bus idea, though. Looks like I can do either Peter Pan or Bolt Bus for a total of about $60 (including the $20 r/t to get to Penn Station) which would make it about a 5.5 hour trip, but I could sleep/work...hmmmm. Any opinions on the NYC/Boston bus options? I've taken a grand total of ONE in my life, and it was back in 2002... |

Would it be wrong to start a Talkboard thread that people need to pass an aptitude test before being allowed access? :D

Hello Box--First post to the box!!
Trying to find reasons to travel during the double EQM's but having difficulty with work schedules. Oh well. I think you mean you're looking for time. It sounds like you have a reason already. :D

That 752 wasn't the long-range engine variant, but I had two TATL routes that didn't need the legs. Thanks to Pimpslap, I have two surplus long-range 752's. Question is what to do with them.
