minimal annual leave used.

I remember having vacation.

Those days when, with proper planning and a decent notice window, I could take off whenever I wanted and get paid for it. Then I changed jobs and took off eight days for a wedding/honeymoon drive from SAN to IAH and back. Luckily my new company let me go into arrears on my vacation, but I'm still working on getting out of the hole. Only -16.22 hours left to go, though!

Congrats. About time you join the rest of us :p Have you set a date for the wedding?

Need to make a correction - since I booked my ZRH trip with my (SkyTeam partner) AmEx, I come out of this deal with just under 45,000 RDMs ^

The voluntary demotion I've been pursuing / talking about? Officially has no annual leave (but is 9 month). That's why I would need to get cashed out of annual leave - at my current pay grade, of course - if I can take the other role.

You expect me to interpret poetry tonight?:rolleyes:

I thought left-handed born on Friday the 13th was lucky?

Plus1 was born Apr 13, our nanny July 13, and BL JR Oct 13. We need to add a Jan 13 so make it quarterly.

BL Jr has the same birthday as my sister.

I hate Acl trains without the new leather seats.

The train hadn't even left the station and two people behind me were already arguing about cell phone use in the quiet car.

I love the quiet car for wstching people argueas much as I love it for being quiet.

I switched hotels to the Westin Phl Center City.

Not in that "I told you so" kind of way, but I'm curious to know if I was accurate about the Sheraton. Did you not like it for some (or many) reason/reasons?

Welcome back, ALCO.

For those among us who are uber-OCD about following UPS or FedEx tracking, my boss turned me on to www.packagetrackr.com...it will show you where the truck is.

Either my package is in the middle of the woods of West Virginia or the site only shows an estimate of where the truck is based on time to delivery. ;)

No, but the guy sitting next to me just got off at Baltimore. I can't believe no one sat next to me for the entire ride up to the DO in the quiet car without seat blocking.

Welcome back, ALCO.

I changed my reservation before even going to the Sheraton because the Westin is far nicer and they finally made my corporate rate available.
