So I can fly either CPH-BGO-AES or CPH-OSL-FDE-BGO-AES. The latter leaves an hour earlier and has a shorter layover in BGO, but it is still 3+ hours.

What are the odds I can get away with booking that and not have my wife kill me??

It might be a trip that sbm12 needs a week to do because of that hobby, but I'd be content just to have the lines on the map and do a day or two in HNL/GUM/NRT. There's no way I'd take the hopper back eastbound. Put me on NRT-EWR and have a nice day.

I'm with you. I'd take the required overnight in HNL, spend a night in GUM and a few nights in NRT before taking the direct flight back to EWR. Such a trip would be require the 5+ day range I mentioned.

This is a beer joint, pretty plainly and simply. I'm in the minority on that as a vodka guy, but no matter. The question is which beer...and I severely doubt that just one would do the job here.

Having vodka myself tonight. Made the mistake of asking Plus1 to make my drink. After sputtering the first sip, I've managed to drink half of it down. Champagne is my drink of choice; but Plus1 introduced me to good beer, I enjoy a variety of drinks.

We had a total Kettle couple get off the CLE red-eye because the husband didn't like the ethnicity of one of our customers. The fact that the man knew the word ethnicity made me dislike him even more and I could barely deal with him. We pulled their checked bag and when I informed the Captain of this matter, I got one of these .

The only thing that made me smile was that this couple got seated in separate seats, 20 rows apart and in the middle, on their next flight. They were also advised that if they got off their next flight they would be charge the add collect and change fee for any rebooking.

I need a good fare to HKG for next month - good as in a mistake fare, please. :D

I'm looking for one last big trip before getting married but the fares are rather  right now...

BLex had you both beat. Perhaps even combined. But he couldn't understand the finer points of MRs. ;)

Have you checked fares to PVG instead? Or are you set on HKG?

I'd prefer HKG - mostly to avoid the visa fees.

The "problem" with diving is that you're supposed to spend 12-24 hours not diving before flying again to avoid the bends. So you have to choose random islands like that carefully. Otherwise you could be sitting around for 24 hours ready to kill yourself. If I were going to dive that trip it'd be one stop somewhere for longer so I don't pay the 24 hour penalty too many times.

Oui. We discussed it at dinner tonight (fajita night here - delicious!!) and agreed that the 4 hops was not appropriate for our vacation. :p

Door to door in five days? That's not bad at all. I'd probably stretch it to an even week and do two in HNL (golf), and see what kind of possibilities *A could add to the mix. Just because you take CO on GUM-NRT doesn't mean you can't sneak in a quick intra-Asia.

Plan on TKK as a dive stop. I managed to get the GUM-TKK line on the map back in the early 90s when dad and I went out there to dive. Definitely worth the visit, lots of history there.

On separate note, I also got the HNL-NAN line on the map back in the early 80s when CO was operating DC10s on that route.

I hope so. Local TV news has changed drastically. The job market is really depressed. Time to find some other profession.

Didn't know this. Either way, I am going w/ my wife's insurance. It was the same company I had for mine.

The Box is much larger than the sum of its parts.
