So they are saying that I cant do a stopover on a through fare??? I have no idea what that means but what I want to do is take the 5:45 am flight to IAH, spend the day in Houston, and continue on my original routing to SMF at 9 pm.
Should this be a problem?

CO would not do a same day confirmed seat for $25 for me since they do not have L fares available on the 5:45 am flight even though it is only about half full.:td::mad: I guess I'll just do everything at the airport and hope there isnt too many people that do the buy up for non elites:rolleyes:
EDIT: and the answer is yes. See you tomorrow. We can get drunk and put our feet on the bulk head in first class. :p |

That has hit the nail right on the head. Having been a NJ resident for about 20 years I always marveled when I observed each little town and borough having its own complete infrastructure from police, fire, and building inspections to courts and boards of education.
We had an office in a borough where it seemed every resident participated somehow in one of the municipal activities, from making a living as a policeman to serving on the zoning board (which Franny did for 10 years). In that place, even the speed trap was for out of towners. It seemed that the prosecutor knew every resident by name. If one came up in front of him, he would frequently only administer a stiff personal admonishment (because he knew that his policeman would not have issued the summons to the local unless it was a really bad violation) and send the chastened party home. But show him a NY or PA driver's license and you better get out your wallet because you would be sure to pay. There is much to like about NJ but you need to be prepared to pay big taxes to support all of the waste at the local level not to mention what is going on in Trenton. Everybody got tickets, but non-residents paid more. I agree on the layers, it seems that a lot of infrastructure could be handled at a county level and a lot of money could be saved. That being said, I liked the state while I was there. |

A policy group at George Mason made a "Freedom in the 50 States" Index. I guessed four of the "lowest-ranking" five without looking at the report or the methodology: Maryland (46th and my birth state), California (47th), New Jersey (49th) and New York (50th).

OK for the 14th, somewhere around Boca Raton. We'll talk about what kind of place tomorrow night since the Devils and the Caps have been eliminated and the fun is out of the playoffs. Now they are just a curiosity to me to look in on from time to time to see if what I was expecting to happen is what really is happening.
I had two scopes on my left knee which left it bone on bone so I needed a replacement a few years after the second. BTW, no need for the "sir" until I quit being like every other slogging business traveler on these boards, scraping for the upgrades and hoping that the hotels have saved better rooms for me since I have been to them so many times. My father's new wife had a knee replaced not long after my parents split up. That is a process that no matter what innovations they have made in it, I really have no desire to experience for myself. I managed to remember the non-full bottle of Woodford for whoever would like to finish it and the book for Plus1, but I forgot the nametag and the  necklace. Oh well.

I booked my IAH-AUS-IAH run as two one-ways. This morning, checking-in for the outbound, no upgrade, but 10 empties up front. For the return, there are less seats available and yet I get upgraded at > 24 hours out.
I really didn't care if I was upgraded or not, the EUA system is so obscure and finicky that I truly believe it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. |

Should the pclub in LGA be able to add someone as my gold companion for a connecting flight out of IAH or is that strictly done at the departure point (IAH)?
