What's the largest offer you've heard for any airline?

SNA - ATL on DL once was offering $450, bus service to SAN, and hotel night if needed depending on the routing. They were desperate because first officer or pilot was violently ill from food poisoning, they were trying to get another person in but there were major accidents on the roads leading to the airport, and there was nothing else out until mid-day the next day.

The flight ended up leaving a few hours late, but prior to that they were trying to get as many volunteers as possible. I suppose in a situation like that they don't really have much to lose if they can get you rerouted.

the largest voucher I got was $600 for ewr-las. I went out the following morning. I also took $400 for a bump from mia to ewr and went mia-mco-ewr and I got into newark an hour later. it was good..

So, will the Cavs let the Magic travel to LAX to meet the Lakers? Looks like it.

I pulled 500 on EWR-DUB, hotel, meal vouchers. I assume that's normal.

I know it's no fun for you guys to watch, but I do thank you for the Indians contributions to the Yankees making it to the top of the AL East. ^

Do you have F the rest of the flights? Good job on the bump!

I got my EUA 3 days out on all 4 flights. The s/o only had 2/4 clear at 1 day. They only had one seat in F for IAH-LAS and 1 in the main cabin, so I took the main cabin. We both had F for LAS-EWR. Saved me about 2.5 hours and I made it back to my house after picking up my car from LGA earlier than I would have landed in LGA.

Now I have to figure out where to go on the vouchers.

I got the idea from J.ed at the CO DO. You'll hear me refer to that idea as "the J.ed special."

What is the "special"?

The science of bump runnning, as coined by J. Edward and expanded on by colpuck. Essentially it's buying full Y on a nearly oversold flight with no intention of flying the segment, but the full intention to volunteer. This would be why colpuck referred to it as an "ethically grey area".

Great to meet and see everyone, and a big ^ to fozz for getting it all put together. Thanks to all for the congrats and good wishes.

Night, Box.

Oh, and for those who have seen it:

"I'd like a cab please...to...what the frig is the address here?"
"How should I know, number 1 Happy Street."

More pilot union posts. This crap is really  and I'm hoping that this latest thread is enough to get that username suspended. We'll see what MBM3/xyzzy have to say I guess.

Nothing wrong with it I suppose........a couple of minutes going through that post in ultra-quick mode already revealed two parts that make my 'love' for unions even 'bigger'
