Good to know. I got my Priority Pass membership in the mail a few days ago. Only ran me 55,000 Marriott points for a 15 month membership with ten free visits. ^

Better deal then the one I saw for the $99 memebership with Marriot Reward Points.

Bumptracker.com has (had?) a listing of someone taking a $1,000 bump on EWR-TLV. Scott6067 tells a story about a $2200 bump that he could not take due to scheduling constraints, but I don't know the details of it.

That's scary. Really scary. But not as scary as South Philly today...we ended up at Pat's because South Street was jammed beyond belief. And then there was the guy who was trying to make an illegal left and almost succeeded if not for the PA State Trooper that he nearly thwacked into had he completed the illegal turn. That made icurhere2, Steph3n, and I laugh like little schoolgirls...I'm fairly sure that the Trooper was thanking the stupidity gods for allowing this bonehead to boost his ticket count for the month by about three.

The $2200 bump was on the last Sunday night LBB flight on Thanksgiving and two days stay at IAH and all gotels and meals paid. 10 am Tuesday was the earliest they could get you out. I so wanted to do it.

Box Advice: What Would You Do?

Currently sitting in DFW waiting for a connecting flight and a trio of midgets, armed with musical instruments, are loudly protesting a certain AAirline's lack of service in not providing them with an electric cart. Currently they're trying to hotwire (I kid you not!) one of the golf carts to drive across the C concourse.

Hmmmm, now they've moved to incorporate more colorful phrases into their comments and looks like they managed to ensnare a poor airline rep who has absolutely no clue as to what's going on.

At first I thought they were trying to make a "bid" for a golf cart ( to myself).

Good morning Box.

In that instance, if I had any flexibility at all I would probably call work and say I'm "not making the last flight home from IAH but have my laptop and/or smartphone with me - will come in after lunch and take the morning as annual leave". Orbitz to find a one-way one-day car rental and start driving.*

* Then again, I decided to drive BNA to OMA after working most of a day earlier this month.

I havne't had a lfight post since Tuesday, am I banned from onepass earning? :(

I made it through PHL with a 12 oz bottle of germx in my laptop bag! I didn't even remember I left it in there, I put it in last night before meeting all you boxziens and shaking paws with all the piggy flu around ;)

icurhere2 May 31, 2009 9:00 am

Apparently the 4P PHL had yet another failing last night. The guy next to me said he stayed at the 4P; I mentioned I did also. He said "well, you got the rude awakening as well". I asked what he was talking about. "The fire alarm went off at 10:30 (yes, 2230) and we had to evacuate". I was thinking "you were in bed at 10:30?"

He also complained about the rooms - I thought they were perfectly nice.

Trying to figure out my next flight - has been zeroed out for a while but the system is showing a lot of Y inventory. Hoping it hasn't been zeroed specifically for standbys (but wouldn't doubt it).

PHL did have an elite line on Terminal A - I had to ask for it after seeing a sign but it was a line of 2 people with one document checker instead of a line of ~30 (who were actively complaining about the other line) with one document checker.

nice. I had no wait in D either(but no elite lane, D is shared by CO and WN of all things but WN has flythru or something now, maybe they will open such lines in PHL). I had plenty time to spend replying some mails from the gate waiting area. just like a president's club

EVen the FAs are sick of the pilots, from the other site:

can we just consolidate all this pilot union crap into one post so a million threads aren't started with one sentence statements?

icurhere2 May 31, 2009 9:35 am

Called in and was told that my connection is officially oversold - have to balance desire to have a gourmet lunch with actively seeking the VDB ...
