@:-) Excellent idea. Electronic payment from bank to AMEX initiated.

I would start with a modest amount first - make sure it goes through without getting stuck in limbo until the first statement closes.

Back online boys and girls. Between big meetings n NYC last week, a nightmarish trip home, cleaning out my garage (why exactly did I feel the need to keep old garden hoses?) and creating a proposal for a promising new engagement, I have not had much free time. Did I miss anything?

You forgot to mention heavy drinking with me on Wednesday night. :D

How did the meetings go??

Yeah, I only sent $10 for now.

Day 2 of the Alli diet - my lunch was lame. Noodle soup, two small rounds of sausage I cooked last night but couldn't eat (due to same diet), and water.

Well played.

The original dowry offer involved a Seal. I asked if Heidi Klum was attached to the Seal.

Now does the pill actually do anything or is it really the diet that does it?

I do not think a store can charge more for using a credit card per their merchant agreement. However I have seen stores give discounts for using cash/debit...seems like 6 one way and a half-dozen the other but oh well <shrug>

They cannot do such per the merchant agreement, but they do. Many establishments in DC, for example, have $5 or $10 credit card minimums.

Well, I have a Chase Platinum MC that starts with four numbers, and have had it for about five years, and it has always been a Chase card. It is some sort of preferred platinum with a few added benefits, but otherwise is a typical platinum MC.

Alli is the only FDA-approved OTC weight loss product - the pill causes less fat (~25% less) to be absorbed from the foods eaten. As a result, it's shown to cause (on average) 50% more weight-loss than diet and exercise alone.

Original reason for asking is that my local gun shop has a cash/credit split on all of the price tags, no matter if it's rifle, handgun, shotgun. It's a disincentive to buy from there, obviously. The range/shop combination down the street from my fiancee does not do this. Who is the appropriate body to report such a thing to?

Directly to VS, MC, or AX - I've reported businesses to MC in the past and they generally have a form available online.
