As usual, CLE gets hosed. Things must be going pretty good here if they can charge $160 more for a mid con compared to a transcon. OF course, every day is a $378 day:rolleyes:.

I was thinking the same damn thing. We haven't seen $200 trips to the left coast in a long long time.

Poop. The change might not really be 4 hours.

They allowed me to cancel the itinerary without penalty. Now to find new flights.

ETA: Post #11,000.

I cannot believe that you canceled before you had the new flights booked. you always could call and cancel later but now you can never get the old flights back.

I found $172+tax ($211 all in) from PHL to SAN in mid-October. Might even justify the  I would get if I told my wife I was doing a mileage run (with DEQM and planned travel, would requalify as Gold, much to my surprise).

With being on call for substitute teaching, I decided to go without flights because I might stay home and work.

Just came back from a walk on which the black lab could not go along, much against his wishes. I came back to find him holding an empty, ripped plastic bag in his mouth. When I left, it had held about 10 8-inch flour tortillas, which I had mindlessly left on the computer table. Good thing he can go in and out at will at night. He's going to pay for his little anxiety fit.

Of course, just playing around. I can get an M fare (upgradable immediately) for only another $120 starting on Sept 22. Why waste my time with lottery's when for $60 more each way I can get a sure thing? This is cheaper than my usual 1 day Kenjet trips to SYR or ROC.

I'm done 2009 scheduling except one RT to D.C. and a OW from BOS (or vicinity) to BNA.

No more available weekends for travel. I'd like to focus on Asia in 2010, but it's not especially easy to do a weekend run there, as with Europe or S. America.
