It is absolutely imperative that we get to the mint hotel before the the press registration deadline, or we might have to pay for our suite.

Anyone who thinks Barstow is the edge of the desert is clearly already on drugs. Barstow is the white spec on top of the pile left by the defecation of the desert on California. Barstow makes me want to be in IAH. In August.

It is! The strawberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, and pineapple were top notch. Honey dew and blackberries average.
When I get something like that I never even think about calling up to find out whether it is a mistake. I believe that I have the right always to assume that it was intended for me since I have status with almost every hotel and am certain that they will indulge me in order to create a good impression and want me back despite my AAA or AARP rate. :) |

Your friendly local Air National Guardsmen are more than willing to go say hi. People can rest easy knowing that the good old days of the Cold War are in some ways back again. Every Guard base that has fighters has at least a pair of them armed up and ready to go from batphone ringing to wheels up in 15 minutes.
Seriously though, I would rather have them stand ready. Ya got em, use them! |
Cheers from Stanfords @ PDX. In the last two years, many places in Portland have come and gone. The Knife/sword shop on SW Washington, for instance. But why did I ever doubt that this monumental airport bar would still not be here? Shame on me. For that, I will drink another. And then like another after that. :D

Night, Box. Several good keepers for the kiddies' mom to be happy with from this afternoon's impromptu shoot. ^
