Considered that and have not ruled it out. I have a large "maybe eBay" pile of stuff in my office, and those are on it.

Sweeeet. My Samsung LCD HDTV is being shipped ^. Was wondering if the order would go through since I stacked coupons on it and the final price was over $700 less than everyone else.

I sent out a meeting invitation yesterday that was then forwarded by the recipient to their entire division; this was for a 15-minute meeting (precisely so that person would get to the point).

Did you also purchase through a mileage mall?

Go back in the wayback machine to yesterday and visit woot.com.

They have other Samsung models, e.g. the 6000 series. Use coupon code SAM450 for additional 450 off. Should work on other Samsung models. Free shipping and maybe no sales tax either.

Some may mock my thought processes but I do try to stay "on point" when it comes to miles.

Question for the Box - does the SPG AmEx provide anything toward elite status (e.g. stay / night credit) based upon hitting any spending tiers?

Spending $30k in a calendar year gets you SPG Gold.

We all have our little idiosyncracies.

Thanks so much; I thought I had read this elsewhere but I can't find the formal reference in AmEx marketing materials (unless I'm being totally dense). Can't do $30k in the remainder of 2009 but could definitely do something in 2010 ...

Poor Choice hotels - looks like they won't be my "stay when there's no Hyatt" fallback anymore.
