Castle is back for a full season two, baglady. And they're keeping Dancing With the Stars as its lead-in. ^^

It is time for a mojito. I got the stirrings mix, rum, and club soda.
I got attacked by another eel today. Looks a lot like the same one as last time. I wonder if it swam down from FLL just to harass me. It cam right at me, just like last time, though this one was kind enough to leave me alone after it had a portrait taken. I don't know the difference between a happy eel and an angry one, but this one looked angry. http://gallery.millerworks.net/photo...58_WeG6o-M.jpg Only that one photo for now...time to get back out and enjoy the warm sunshine and drink it up. :D Oh, and I can't find the various bar/dining discussion that came up from when jrzyshawn was here a couple weeks ago. Anyone want to rehash it and/or find it again? There were a few bars recommended and I'd hate to miss a good one. :p |
These?

If you are staying at Spindrift or Ruby's you will not need a taxi. Both are a 5 minute walk down Front St from the San Pedro airstrip and right in the center of the town close to all the restaurants, bars, stores and tour operators. I will work on uploading the pictures tonight to share also.

Did you get a chance to check out Wild Mango's?

No, I did not see your post until we were back in MIA. We went to Fido's and the Tacklebox.

As for the food/drink options, Fido's and The Tackle Box are ok for bars. The Tackle Box is on the water taxi pier off Front St and Fido’s is on Front St and the beach slightly north of the water taxi pier. Fido's also has a restaurant and there were a few more restaurants upstairs. They were very quiet when we were there but the locals said it was just an off week. Pepper Oni’s is across from Coconuts resort a little south of the airstrip and is ok in a pinch if you guys are hungry and missed all other options. Hartmann recommended Wild Mango's but I didn’t get a chance to check it out because I did not see his post. There was one bar on Front Street at Black Coral Street on the southwest corner that was pretty happening when we were there but I don’t remember the name of it. There are a lot of resorts which have on site restaurants north on the island that will pick you up by boat on the pier and provide free round trip boat ride to their restaurants, but I did not look into it because I just assumed that they would be far more expensive than I was willing to pay. When we were there the whole place was dead. How are the crowds there now? Hope this helps and enjoy your week! |

Oh, that reminds me. Here are the pictures from Belize
What was the name of the resort that you stayed at? Was it the one next to Victoria House? On the second to last picture, what airport was that? We didn't land at that one... And yes, Wild Mango's has fantastic tacos. There is another place called Elvi's Kitchen that serves creole type fare and it is awesome as well. They are only open Monday-Saturday. |

OK Starwood experts - if I register for the free weekend night promotion, do I still earn SPG points? Finally planning for Central NJ Mini-Do. I know one doesn't earn points with Intercontinental's promotion ... |

The second to the last picture was landing at Belize Municipal Airport. We kept seeing signs for Elvi's Kitchen but we cound not find it and figured since the signs were old and rusted that the place must have closed down years ago. |

CO568 EWR-LAS today was oversold by five. Offered $300 voucher and guaranteed F on the 1500 hour flight so a 6 hour wait. I arrived at gate too late, they already had plenty of volunteers :(.

It is on one of the cross streets and looks like a house from the outside if you are not paying attention. I think it's three blocks over from the airport. |
