However, he spent lots of time talking to all of the crew members, and as usual, they were cheerful and the flight was lovely. It was also packed. I did get a chance before leaving the plane to say hello and talk with him and to introduce him to Ms Radonc1.
The only thing that amused me was that I recognized him the minute I boarded, but I would say that 99% of the passengers walked by him without a glimmer of recognition. BTW, no video on the flight so they could not cheat either.

I've shown photos I have of Larry to people and you have to give them a bunch of hints before they figure out who it is.

Looks like the work of the same guys who programmed the Mars lander...

Well, if it makes you feel better, the wife and I were stranded on an Italian train for 2 hours due to an unannounced work stoppage. Oh yeah, they were brilliant to stop between stations so we could not get out nor was there any air conditioning. In June. With windows that did not open.

That could only happen in Italy or France.

Not in France. The French take their vacations too seriously to allow unannounced travel stoppages. They would revolt (mon dieu!!).

As a matter of fact it is. You were or are experiencing caffine withdrawal. Most people complain of headaches and muscle pain, but it is quite mild and brief. It is much harder to get over the psychological dependence.

I don't get headaches. When I have too much in the morning, I get the shakes around noon. If I don't have enough or the brew is too weak, I just never fully wake up that day. And I would argue in my case that I'm past the point of psychological dependence. I outright know for a fact that without two strong cups in the morning, I'm a wreck for the day and I fall asleep during Wheel of Fortune (7:30 in my markets - I get both NYC and PHL stations). If I'm traveling someplace and the coffee is either served in small amounts or is too weak, I need pretty much a whole pot to kickstart myself. Thankfully this wasn't a problem in Holland, where my objections to the serving size were overcome by the undeniable fact that their coffee was as close to Turkish as I've had without being in Turkey.

In Brasil, they serve cafezinhos all day long, most places -- even at the doctor's offices! You can always get your caffeine fix there! I went into w/drawal after I moved back!

The Kettles starting flying this week. Had a very difficult time finding volunteers to take a bump Thursday night. Only one person jumped at the chance to fly First Class (24hrs later) with a $300 travel voucher.

It seems everyone was going to a college graduations or family event.

Summer is here. That means lots of babies and families that aren't seated together. I can't tell you how hard it has become to get the familes together on these very full flights. The other night I had to "buyoff" someone to give up their aisle or window seat for a middle seat. Two lucky or unlucky people got $100 travel voucher and two drink chits for moving.

Maybe your middle seat looks better now? :p

I'm just happy NW/DL treated me so well in this bizzare situation. Now I am in an exit row aisle on an MD88, which seems to have more pitch than CO's exit rows. I really like these birds.

I quit caffeine on a whim 2.5 years ago and thought I would be sluggish all the time without it. In fact, the opposite has been true and I have never gone back to caffeine.

But are you drinking diet or zero-cal soda and such instead? The same high might be able to be achieved on a basis of sugars or artificial crap.

I don't want to go through giving up caffeine again. It was he!!. I will admit it was great once I got over it as I wouldn't get those ups and downs during the day. A nice constant near up all day long.

Women and shoes are a foregone conclusion. If a guy had that many pairs of shoes, it'd be really curious.

I think every Hilton and HGI I've stayed at in the past year has sent me an e-mail in the past 24 hours trying to get me to come back.
