You Asked: Did you build this city?
Alex: I'm not sure I understand, please try rewording your question.

On a more serious Alex note, how would one ask her to fetch a roundtrip? I put in a city pair and a date hit enter, and it gives me back the one-way. Is she smart enough for roundtrips or multi-city?

You Asked: I want to buy a ticket from EWR to LAX departing on 8/10 and returning on 8/15.
Alex: Searching for flights...

She seems to have trouble with multi-city routings...

Ahh. For a minute I thought someone was really supporting the idea.

I wonder if typing out the sentence is perceived by CO as being less troublesome than that dropdown calendar.

It is ludicrous only because it is an actual improvement to the city. :p

However, I expect CO to filter the chart just as UA does and that will frequently leave all of the CO flyers on the outside looking in. And the CO Plats will not even have the consolation of the SWUs.

The chart might be ugly in some categories but I do believe that CO will not apply any limits to their StarNet systems. I understand the cynic in you, but thus far the CO folks haven't outright screwed us, though there is always tomorrow.

How much (for non status  only buying miles) does it cost to actually have a ticket issued? There's a bunch of fees on their website that look to push the cost up a bit.

I paid somewhere around $50 last summer to issue a ticket on TK as a non-elite. That included ~$10 in local taxes, IIRC.

As for *A searching, sign up for an ANA account (make sure you provide a valid postal address). Then you can use their site to search for almost all the *A partners (MF, LX and one other are excluded).

Two dates?? I just did "ewr-nrt 8/18-10/21" and it returned exactly what I would have expected it to.

You Asked: I want to fly from EWR to SAN on 10/15, and return from YVR to EWR on 10/28.

Alex: Multi-city reservations allow you to travel to three or more cities on the same trip. You can purchase tickets for multiple-city travel by entering your information on this page.

So it looks like she comprehends open jaws...

Interesting:

You Asked: I want to fly from EWR to SEA on 10/16, from SEA to LHR on 10/21, and from LHR to IAH on 10/24.

I'm not sure why anyone would actually use Alex to search flights... Typing in city names and selecting dates from a calendar is much easier.

On the 752 tomorrow they cleared 4 at the first EUA bringing it to half cabin (8 of 16 total), then at T24 they cleared 4 more (including me) again halving the number.

If you're Gold and there's a decent number of seats open I'd expect to clear at T24.

Btw, looking at "where is my plane coming from?" for a while for fun I found a DEN-IAH had F0 and 31 waitlisted.

You Asked: what is 169873 times 70283
Alex: I am better at answering questions about Continental. However, the answer to your question is: -945717829.

You Asked: What is the round trip mileage from Newark to Shanghai?
Alex:

You Asked: who is better at karaoke, Rolov or ALCO?
Alex: I'm not sure how to answer that. I understand simple questions best, can you try asking that in a different way?
