I have one lens of each. But I don't use filters except for my dust-sucking Canon 17-55IS. So, hope you can find another home for them.

So, I just noticed that HNL-NAN is 3,162 miles and NAN-GUM is 3,094.

From what Scott mentioned on the podcast, CO isn't prepared to fly a 738 that distance, nor do I think a 738 has that kind of legs, hence why they had to wait until the 739ER for LAX-HNL.

Strange, as IAH-ANC was longer.

That's the one I could buy new for €150,141,131, right? ;)

Goodnight, b:rolleyes:x. I get to drive back to Denver tomorrow. Woo.

He said it was related to ETOPS for the LAX-HNL. I forgot about IAH-ANC, so I guess it does have the legs, just not the ETOPS legs.

Difference is the route would be operated using the Air Mike 738s, which are already certified to the higher ETOPS standards than the US domestic ones, and thus would be able to make that hop ETOPS-legally.

Just double-checked the stuff... LAX-HNL would require 180min ETOPS certification. HNL-NAN-GUM can technically be operated under 120min ETOPS, but the 138min ETOPS rule gives a little bonus to that. Hopefully someone could clarify, but the US Domestic 738s I think are only good for 60min or 90min ETOPS max, thus why you wouldn't see them on the long overwater flights. The Air Mike 738s, conversely, are rated for the higher limit, not sure if they're 138min or 180min. As an aside, 138min ETOPS is all that is required for TATL operations.

And this time, really, goodnight box.

A Moving Question

Anyone use a company for a long distance, small load move? Having finally sold my parent's house to basically finish the estate proceedings, I have a small amount of things to move with me to FL, about a large bedroom's worth of furniture and boxes. Does anyone have any experience/suggestions for doing the moving? I could fit everything I need to take into a cargo trailer, but Uhaul won't rent one to be towed by a Jeep w/ a soft-top, and I don't have anyone up here to borrow one from (besides, getting it back would be a  ) I've priced out renting a truck and towing the Jeep, but it is basically identical to a few companies I've looked at, so if I'm going to drive anyway I might as well drive my own vehicle, put the top down and enjoy the ride.

Indeed, that would be the stop. I did ROR on the honeymoon and so TKK is naturally the highest priority for a dive in that region now.

But not over water and they can always tech stop half way in SEA.

My understanding (limited from the Ops tour at Do III, I think) is that the whole fleet gets the same ETOPS rating. And CO does 180 ETOPS because that is what is needed for many of the routes, including the HNL flights.

The NAN flights bring up an interesting issue in this regard but the only thing I can think of is that either the winds are much more favorable out there, some of the random specks on the map have runways and make CO feel more comfortable about it or that they will use the 73E. The last is the least likely, IMO.

So true. I thought Bethpage Black was hard at somewhere in the 130's. Ko'olau is a course I'd play to say that I played it (and for the photo ops) but I'd have no shame in playing it off the forwards, at least at my handicap.

I bought it at the price he listed just because I wanted a widebody. I have to rename my airline...it doesn't do to have "Shorthaul Express Airlines" flying DFW-LHR and DFW-FRA.

There's two.

I don't have a ready poo reference, so would anyone like to go for the poofecta?

Morning, Box.
