I saw this too late , but I think I have been there before when I used to go to LBI. If this is the same place I am thinking of, it is ^.

It has a driving range and 36 holes of miniature golf. Fiancee and I do golf and pizza semi-regularly.

Yes...but they did give us RUSH so they're not all bad! :p

I'd rather listen to three hours of Gilbert Gottfried than three minutes of Geddy Lee. I can't turn the dial fast enough if I hear that opening riff to Tom Sawyer.

Steve, please tell me you don't do a Rush impersonation.

The thunder and rain at our Nation's Capital is making me sleepy. Good night Box.

Ok...it's ON now! :p No I don't do a RUSH impersonation but they are my all-time favorite band and Neil Peart is the reason I wanted to become a drummer. Have probably seen them live close to 30 times.

By the way....your average RUSH fan is so sick of Tom Sawyer that we'd prefer they skipped it when they play live and do some obscure stuff from the B-side of Hemispheres instead. Rush fans ~ Tom Sawyer; Eagles fans ~ Hotel California; Lynyrd Skynyrs fans ~ Freebird/Sweet Home Alabama....the list goes on and on.....

So true. I thought Bethpage Black was hard at somewhere in the 130's. Ko'olau is a course I'd play to say that I played it (and for the photo ops) but I'd have no shame in playing it off the forwards, at least at my handicap.

The biggest mistake you can make when playing a difficult course is to try and play it from the tips. It'll make a great day miserable. Quote me on that.

Still gets the expression "the competent guitar of Geddy Lee" from a long ago concert-promotion commercial in my head.

My "can't turn the radio quick enough" is anything sung by Stevie Nicks. I haven't listened to Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker's "I Need to Know" since she screeched it out at one of the early concerts in Petty's 2006 Highway Companion Tour, and haven't listened to Dave Matthews Band's "Crash" since I heard part of her cover. Too many bad memories.

Come on CO, wait till I get a few more bumps than 1 on this route before decreasing my chances of bumps. I suspect that they will put the Q400 on LBB runs as well as those flights tend to be booked heavy at certain times.

no word on replacement of the mainline flights.
It was from a pilot who goes into training on them next month for the new IAH Q400 base.

LBB would likely be a candidate, GRK isn't one of the first for sure :(

From my understanding it won't just be a huge 15 new planes change, but rolling changes as the deliveries come.

I saw The Eagles live at Borgata last summer and they played Hotel California IIRC fifth from the beginning. They spent a lot more time on the new album (and its  attendant political message -- you're liberals. WE GET IT. All of Hollywood is too.) and then went back into old stuff and Walsh's stuff. I can die happy as an Eagles fan: I heard the guys do all the 1971-1975 hits live, and I also saw Don Henley live when he closed with Desperado, and I heard Joe Walsh do "Life's Been Good". Seeing The Eagles was a checkmark on the life's to-do list.

I didn't play the Black from the tips. I'm crazy but not stupid. I managed one solitary par on the Black - No. 13, the hole that is being stretched to a hair over 600 yards for the Open.

I heard "Crash" get played at a wedding. I pointed the inappropriateness of the lyrics to the table, and it took them a second to catch on, but I did get hahas from saying it.

I've heard it's pretty useless when it comes to upgrades, but at least it gets you some bonus points.

What pilot program is this and where do I sign up? ;)

I recall being SPG Gold years ago and got a couple of upgrades. BL JR has received SPG Gold for the past 4 years (I am assuming some partner program with CO). She is big on wallet candy so it goes with her Hilton Gold, Hyatt Plat and various rental car cards she receives. It's cheap entertainment for her and one less toy I have to buy her

I love the Eagles - at least their old stuff. Plus1 will never go to another concert with me. EVER.

I received the co offer a while ago. I didn't take it because I didn't want the points credited to co.

I got a similar promo a long time ago from US. It wasn't worth it. The SPG points are worth more than 3x CO points, IMO.

Does having an address (or student ID) in Paris qualify me as Francillian? I want to pay only 29 euros to goto Disneyland Paris for two days.

Anywho... bonsoir box - vous êtes ma petit chou.

Does anyone know how CO/SPG choose people for this? My SO got the offer with Gold SPG status tonight. The points are credited as OP miles. 9,000 bonus miles for 3 stays by August 31st. The link was spg.com/CO9000 but it said that it was limited to the recipient of the letter. I had to earn Gold the hard way...hopefully will be Plat soon.

Here's the kicker: you can see over the steering wheel.

My "rip your ears off and leave bloody holes in the side of your head" is Rod Stewart's Maggie May.
The pool I used to swim in for 2-3 hours a day was cutting edge back in '73... Underwater sound system!!! The only record they owned was that single though. And folks think waterboarding is torture.

I will have to steal her purse after she falls asleep to look ;) I believe she's received at least three though.

RE: SPG Gold - when she first got it - I did not! So no idea how the SPG/CO thing works (and Plus1 was given SPG plat at the time)
