Brituchenite, anytime you want to get together to watch Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, etc.....even Mr. Bean, let me know! We'll make it a micro-mini-DO. You make the bangers & mash and I'll bring the warm beer  :p

Fact: Home theater in a box installation is not really that difficult.

Myth: It is easy to explain what a home theater actually does to the technologically challenged person who bought it.

I'm not sure how much I care, but I've found myself over there a disproportionately large percentage of the time, just arbitrarily. I should actively seek out some starboard seats in the near future just to see if it makes a big difference to me.

If I am planning on sleeping, I prefer the port side. If not, I prefer starboard.

I think I have somewhere north of $600 of beer, wine, and liquor in my new place. There is probably less than $35 worth of food here. Why this phenomenon didn't merit a chapter in "Freakonomics," I haven't a clue...

Mr. GadFly, are you doing teh choochoo both ways?

When flying back into EWR, I try to sit starboard to I can get a nice view of my house. The port side will have a nice view of NYC most times.

That was Mr. Creosote....played by Terry Jones. I love when he keeps throwing up on the maid

I'm apparently an anomaly in kitchen stocking for a man:

A. Completely full freezer and fridge,
B. Full step-up pantry filled with basic stores (disaster management?),
C. Hall closet with drinks (including wine) for guests,
D. About 14 linear feet of cabinets filled with alcohol.

I'm probably a 50/50 split on food / alcohol (by value).

I thought we were going to do the bus from Philly after I choo-choo'ed down there with my leftover ZFV tix? Doing it that way will leave us more $$$ for drinkin' and fightin'.

It looks like some people are doing museums Sunday morning....were you thinking about staying over?

Do you need a house-sitter? home-inspector? gigolo?

Strangely enough, that is exactly the way that I like it. I don't know why but it has been that way for some number of years and I am not happy when I can't get the port side on an overnight international flight.

And right now I am in my preferred starboard window seat on a short hop ATL-DCA.

If it's an ERJ, always the port side.

If it's not an ERJ, then whichever side isn't towards the sun, because I like to keep my window open to look out. :D^

I had no plans to stay over, and while I was not opposed to taking the bus up earlier, I now have fiancee clearance for the trip along with a dropoff and a pickup at 30th Street. Also knowing that my personal mass doesn't do that great in bus seats, I'm leaning toward the late train back north that gets into Philly right about at the stroke of midnight.

I just got the TalkMail newsletter and am enthralled in the Bernie Madoff AMEX statement. :o Highlights include Y travel on B6, CO and $190 spent at Houlihan's in Bridgewater on Rt. 22. I didn't know I was around Bernie's cronie's stomping grounds. :-:
