Down here it's :). Not quite :D, but by no means . There is no reason to be  over the weather here. It's a little  compared to the last few days, but I say ^ to that. Your weather, brought to you by emoticons and no effort whatsoever. (Don't think that the media won't resort to emoticons. I give it 10 years.)

I am safely enscounced at an Aloft in National Harbor (DC). I drove through a horrendous storm as I approached the city. Nothing like rockin out to AC/DC to keep one on their toes while driving!!

Consider yourself lucky by being too young to have worried about that song being on the charts.

Too funny -- there was definitely a lot of forgettable stuff in the 80s!
My son things it's cool that I'm into Led Zep & Hendrix ^ He, of course, thinks that I am ancient , but is amazed that I did some DJing in college, and appreciates that it's better to have a rocker mom, than not! ;)

She is big on wallet candy so it goes with her Hilton Gold, Hyatt Plat and various rental car cards she receives. It's cheap entertainment for her and one less toy I have to buy her

So, let me get this right -- she has her own a/cs?!:p -- or are these actually your cards? Great idea to let her have her wallet full of cards!^

I love the Eagles - at least their old stuff. Plus1 will never go to another concert with me. EVER.

So, what happened?!!

I should have kept a better accounting of what I spent toward employment while unemployed. I don't think I've ever made enough for itemizing to be a smart thing for me, but I like doing whatever I can to boost the refund.

I was going to say, that unless you itemize -- it's not worth anything. Plus it has to be over 2% of AGI. Also, expenses for finding one's first job -- is not deductible. I only realized that GBryan84's fiancee is going for her 1st job.

These are all her cards. I don't let her touch mine. I actually keep her current CO card with me. The credit card offers go in the trash with the exception of the faux CC - I give those to her - better that than her trying to steal one of mine ;) I do let her open all of her mail because she loves mail (it's genetic from her father) and even a Chase CC offer gets her going!

She loves pretty much any present she is given. While she was taught to say thank you, she gregariously fawns over every gift. She's received a few Visa cards and let me say she LOVES those. We are in big, big trouble!

I have been to very few concerts in my older adult life. The ones I have been to have been private venues or boxes. This has made me a tad spoiled. Plus1 and I attended The Cure last year. He had purchased very good seats. Unfortunately those seats were behind 2 very smelly people. There were some other things going on, some better than you can see on late night Cinemax. Let's just say I didn't enjoy it (and I do love The Cure). It was a mutual decision that we would never go to a concert together again (I said I would be happy to attend a concert in a private venue or suite but he thinks we're better off just leaving it never again). Old age has changed me ;)

:D I've been to a few shows in smelly smelly bars that were way beyond their capacity, it ruined me on going to any other shows as well. I am more a fan of the indie rock bands that don't play at huge venues MOST of the time.

That being said, time to lay down and grab a book may check into the box once more before dozing off but may not if all goes sleepy.

Yeah, not much to note in the '80s. Just U2, The Cure, Pretenders, Bauhaus, The Clash, Social Distortion, The Pixies and I think the Talking Heads might have released a couple of songs. Nothing much memorable there.

Put it this way. Baglady's take on being on the floor of Toyota Center seeing the Cure was similar to how she'd feel about having the middle seat on an "all rows" boarding of a Sunjet charter with a broken lav on its way to Jalisco with a fresh roll of duct tape.

Despite the liberal application of adult beverages, she told me could not take any more (darn them playing all those great songs) and that she'd wait in the car. I said "fine" and was surprised to learn that this was not the appropriate answer.

She told me that she'd never go to another concert and I replied that she wouldn't have to worry as she'd never be asked again. We agreed that this was a very good resolution.

It was probably a Top-5 concert in my book; well, if one was talking about the music.

Upon reflection, she thought that perhaps she could tolerate being in a private suite.

It's a very good thing we love each other so much.

Ah, I'd forgotten the Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice thing going on in front of us. I'm just not sure if Ted knew that it was going on as things only seemed to happen when he was making a beer run.

I need to get out to California, I have two CR-1s and I have no real need for the OP EQMs if I can get something better for the price.

Is it just that the fare I'm buying is in the correct bucket? Or are they playing a CYA game?

For domestic itins, fare bucket doesn't matter.

If you have KVS, use the Upgrades/UA method and search for NC availability.

If you don't have KVS, make sure your UA profile is set to advanced and do a reward booking and scroll over the availability and it will show you the individual buckets.

Wow....an actual female who likes rush?! When you go to see them in concert, the crowd is made up of about 85% dudes most of whom are either musicians or just enjoy playing air guitar/drums along with the music. Of the 10% of the crowd that are actual women, I'm willing to bet that most of them came with their boyfriend and are bored to tears.

What about that leftover 5%? Well, there's a group at most shows that have, shall we say, "gender identification issues". I suspect most of them are guys who look at pictures of Geddy Lee circa 1977 and base their look on that but you never know.
