I was not a fan of the DC-10. Their old 2-2(gap)2-2 configuration was nice.
That thing was worn out pretty bad. |

The DC-10 was the first time I ever sat in international business class. Albeit a domestic flight.
Oh the days of DC-10s in BusinessFirst on MCO-EWR and being served the choice of roasted chicken breast or lobster. Those were the good ol' days. |
Back to work in the morning after not being in since Wednesday...G'night Box.

Someone mentioned the aloft Las Colinas eye candy....I will agree, the front desk had some nice eye candy :D
Pretty decent fireworks show out the window as well, both people and the booming July 4th kind. |
Rhode Island is attempting to become PC.

Good Morning-ish Box and greetings from the KLM Crown Club at AMS.
It's a nice spot, particularly the pour-your-own champagne. I haven't fully explored but it looks to have the makings of a Continental breakfast (I think i spotted meat and cheese) and sleeper-rooms. This is my first time in AMS, why didn't anyone tell me it was so huge? I've got like 4 hours here so plenty of time to explore. I can't decide if the walk-time signs are helpful or are simply dismaying. I got off at C and had to go all the way to G. At some point I need to venture out of the lounge and shop a bit - burn my last few euros. The KLM flight was pleasent and my first time on a Fokker. Also, the boat from Venice was less stressful and eventful then predicted, but certainly not expedient. I used business bag check at VCE thankfully since the bag check area there is generally a mess. Anyone else i knew on the flight made it to the gate after boarding had begun and we got to the airport in what should have been plenty of time. If anyone wants photos from the lounge let me know - my webcam seems to be working today and i can just point my laptop in the direction of interesting things. |

So far, I have yet to find an aloft where the eye candy hasn't been good. |

I'd keep it. A huge downgrade like that could do wonder for bumps.

Morning, Box. Apparently the American midget lobby is trying to ban itself from TV. Yup, if it offends someone, the government needs to remove it from the public consciousness...really? I guess people can't even rely on themselves to change the channel anymore. |

HR people are awful. Who gets into a job in which the primary task of the job is to qualify people for jobs that you have no experience with yourself?

Woke up this morning at around 02:00, and could not fall back asleep in the BF seat. I wish CO would hurry up and start installing those flat seats. Should not have engaged in mental torture by enjoying the LA J seat on the short SCL-EZE flight just before the long-haul segment. |
