You'll still pay sales tax on apple.com purchases but the OnePass miles and free shipping help make up for that.

Good point. Semi-related question: the T&C's of the Chase CO cards say that they won't award bonuses to non-first-time cardholders. I can live with that, but I'm curious if they apply that to all types of bonuses. I had a miles-earning card, and for the sake of argument I get the TravelClub card. Would they refuse me the TravelClub credit?

FedEx's express shipping is generally quite accurate in terms of timing/updates on the tracking page. It is their ground tracking that sucks.

You say so, I believe. The only thing that I used to regularly get from FedEx was tickets and commissions from my broker, and I'd never track those because I knew that tickets would go out to me or my clients within 48 hours, and that I'd report my earnings on the last day of the month and have monies in hand by the 15th. It's not like I consciously avoid FedEx, but it just seems like UPS has the market share around here.

It was the 73G that wasn't profitable, not the 738. The 738 wasn't used due to some ETOPS related issues. *shrug*

73G would have had to sell to 120% or something like that, IIRC. 738 wasn't so much ETOPS as it was range in general. I remember Scott saying something about needing an airplane that could fly the mission every time, and the 738 didn't fit that statement, which is why they had to wait for the 73E.

I would make an uneducated guess that some headwinds across the pacific might make that leg an issue on the 737-800, a la the problems the 757-200 has on the TATL return to the US.

Please don't let me out of The Box for the rest of the day. I'm wreaking havoc.

You aren't liking the 762? Or just need cash?

I am probably the only one operating a Tu154 on AMv2, it was a mistake purchase when I thought I was in the AM Third World screen :D

Luckily it is able to turn some decent profits, as it was one of the better models.

Awaiting delayed KQ flight at BKK Sky Lounge (KE). I wonder how much champagne myself and the Mrs. can get through in the next 3 hours...

And the box loves you.

I am so ready to move and work from home for a while. It should be very nice to have a lot less  to deal with. And, we're flying ONT - AUS this weekend with my shiny new Priority Pass card so my wife and I can rest in the IAH E PC at 5:30AM when our redeye from ONT arrives. :^

Ah, thanks :)

The PClub is the place to be after a redeye. When will the move take place?

Sorry, didn't realize you had a photo hosting site set up. We really need to work on that whole communication thing. :o

I have great faith that you can drink enough to not care that you have three hour delay!
