I also love how eliminating a competitor would increase competition in DEN (and other cities).

A TRIP TO COSTCO
Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's a$s and a car hit us both. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Costco won't let me shop there anymore. Great

The seats in row 1 seemed a bit two close to the galley and lav action. I prefer a bit of a buffer in herrinbone-configured J class cabins. At some point, I will post some photos on flickr that show those seats, and you can decide for yourself.
Please post the pics when you can. That would be great. ^ |

Not to jump on the AP or anything, but how does someone enter a plea of not guilty before being indicted by the grand jury?

WN is thinking about acquiring F9.

Sounds like WN is making a bid for F9 in bankruptcy court... This will make things interesting in DEN - especially for UA.
Since WN has always made it clear that they are a Boeing only shop, I wonder if we will see some A318/319/320s on the market...

Yes, in my experience, a very large number of pharma reps are very attractive people.

Is that why my best friend's a well-paid pharma scientist instead of a well-paid pharma rep?
This 23-29 year old could have been a model easily :p |

With regard to an increase in competition coming from the loss of a competitor, they could have said it with the intent of a route-by-route kind of look at it. Who knows.

Someone at WN would certainly be throwing up if they paid that much for F9. @:-) |

They're most likely doing it to bully Republic into paying more for F9. |

I hope US extends the validity of its MIA/FLL/PBI-PDX Q-UP beyond Sept. 7. I'd like to do it, but not until late Sept. May just have to make time. 42,000 BD miles (my calculation is weird, as I'm at 50K BIS, so not all will earn at 600%) aren't to be sneezed at, especially for $680...
