Does Charlie work at C-south? I'm not up on all the bartenders.. :)

It's still listed on CO.com, but we all know how accurate that list is... :)

I hope prices stay low for awhile. I'd really like to do IAH-MID and stay at one of the SPG Hacienda properties nearby. CO does a late Friday night flight and an early Monday am departure that would be absolutely perfect for enjoying a full weekend down there.

He is, IMO, not just one of the best PC bartenders I've come across, but one of the best bartenders, period.

Next time you run into him, you should ask him for a Caipirinha. He muddles up limes with Bacardi and sugar, shakes with ice, then pours. Considering the limited supplies he has at his disposal to make cocktails, he makes great ones. His whisky sour with Jim Beam is also ^ (he steeps orange peel in the sour mix to give it extra flavor).

Too much politics in here last night. Take it to /PR. ;)

Time to go enjoy a "bagel" at the EWR PC.

I gave up on those "bagels" a long time ago and just eat the Total or a lemon poppeseed minimuffin when there for breakfast.

Never since it was made public. There are some FTers who can't live without arguing politics...I'm not one of them. The community at large got hoodwinked on that OMNI deal.

Hoodwinked how? By thinking something they posted on the toobz wasn't visible to tons of people they don't know?

BDA is fricking beautiful. You have to be willing to put up with a lot of pastels and sky-high prices on just about everything, but the views are quite nice. I really hope I can find some time to dive one day here, though I am supposed to be working all weekend and I didn't bring my u/w camera so it is unlikely.

I'd like to see BDA, but would prefer to do so by ship. There are quite a few fall foliage cruises that originate in YUL, then do YQB, Prince Edward Island, YHZ, down the New England Coast, then on to BDA and either CHS or FLL. My parents did one about ten years ago, and their photos were ^

Morning Box!

The s/o found a great deal on 24" HD Dell monitors this week ($200/ea), so now I have two on my desk here at home. FT has never looked so big!!!

I love BDA! While a lot of the charm has diminished over the years, it is still a very peaceful place with some gorgeous beaches! You're right though, absolutely nothing is cheap (or even reasonably priced) in BDA.

Did you end up renting a scooter? :)

Don't do it. I regret my free year with them.

It has saved me, a total of about 20 seconds. And, in most instances, like the DCA DL Shuttle line, it actually takes longer to use Clear. The only thing it does is requires more identity to go through the license check portion of the security check.

That's it.

More often than not, if I'm flying through an airport with Clear I don't go through the Clear lane any more.

The whole system is bizarre over kill with absolutely 0 tangible benefit.

Morning Box.

Thanks. Anyone with experience using Clear at the limited sports venues?

I'm still on the fence about using one of these codes for myself; other than a few times he and I have been traveling together where the elite line was really long (like DL's terminal at LGA), I've not seen much benefit to it. But, if you'd like to try it out for free, PM me and I'll send you the code. I've only got a couple to give out, so first come, first served.

I have a code right now that I am contemplating using, but I am not sure if it is even worth the time. The Clear lane at DCA usually just dumps out into the elite lane, which is usually never that long, so the time it takes you to go into the lane and do the Clear scan usually is about the same amount of time it takes to stand in the short elite line and have the TSA look at your boarding pass. At IAD, the Clear lane is downstairs on the baggage claim level with the employee security checkpoint. That can save some time, but with IAD's revised elite security lanes, it really isn't necessary.

Clear might be handy at peak times at the entrance to the US concourse at DCA, but I rarely fly US and if I do, I use the elite lane anyway.

And I'm stuck with puny 21" monitors.
