Hrm, both of those options are way over my  threshold for this endeavor. Oh, well.

Hopefully teh  flu kills off enough of the thugs and narcotraficantes so that it's safe to head down to Nuevo Laredo to check out the birthplace of the Margarita... The Cadillac Bar

Whew, I am FINALLY caught up. This last week has been truly insane, culminating in me sleeping through my alarm and waking up at 7:49 am. Class starts at 8. I made it. Thank goodness for the headband-and-ponytail combo...

I can't drink tequila straight up. But I do love it in a good margarita.

When I was in Mexico a few years ago, we learned about the best tequila chaser ever: tomato juice. I'm not sure how much of a "local secret" that is, but I'd never heard of it before. As you are all gagging in horror, please take my word for it that it is AWESOME.

Jose Cuervo La Familia - now that's some good sipping Tequila. :)

Mmmm that reminds me, I am attending a Patron tasting for my birthday on Sunday!

Tequila is just revolting, overall. I prefer some of the other Mexican liquors.

I can't live without my 24" now. When I'm on the road using my laptop, I almost need a magnifying glass.

Um yeah I think so. I do not think I have ever walked straight when leaving an event at Fahrenheit!

Speaking of that, anyone want to join me for the Veuve tasting?

Some drinking at Fahrenheit?! A patron thing on Sunday? How many years B-day, btw? :)

I did not really like it until I took a tasting at the Cancun Ritz a couple years ago and realized the good stuff tastes nothing like the well crap we all shot in college.

Yeah, good tequila is a whole other world than anything made by Jose Cuervo. It sips smooth like a quality bourbon or scotch, not something you take shots of so you can cram the awfulness down as fast as possible.

I'd love to, but I'll be flying all weekend. I doubt I'll find any decent tequila at FRA. LOL
